    In the article it states
But isnt it correct that Islam considers Jesus to be a prophet and therefor should be respected? If so why do they not say they have banned it because of Islam AND Christianity?
Although it seems to be reaching out to christains in a Muslim country it still seems a bit divisive.

I think blasphemous material for both Christians and Muslims, maybe they said so but they didn't quote it, becuase as you saw, in my source there are more other details.

But it also said that the officials ( i.e. Muslims, right?) said that ,"The Da Vinci Code" contained blasphemous material about Jesus. I think blasphemous material for both Christians and Muslims

yes I know and it says too,
Pakistan on Saturday banned cinemas from showing "The Da Vinci Code" because it contained what officials (who are they?) called blasphemous material about Jesus. (I think or maybe they meant blasphemous material for both Christians and Muslims ) because you read: Source Culture Minister Ghulam Jamal (is he christian?)said the film was blasphemous. Mr Jamal said: "Islam teaches us to respect all the prophets of Allah Almighty and degradation of any prophet is tantamount to defamation of the rest," the official Associated Press of Pakistan news agency reported. Source adding the government will not allow any movie that has controversial scenes about any prophet.
