Pagers

Who remembers pagers?Did you have one?I had one when I was in high school,technology sure has changed all those years ago.

 

I was too young to have one.. I had this

 

Rarely ever saw one other than on tv/in movies.

 

i was too young. my dad had one, i think he was the only person i knew who did.

 

i had one in college days

just found it recently on a shelf


i didnt have message services it would just send me a number and id have to find a payphone to call back

 

I never had one. I did have a cell phone when they first came out. I had the big bag car phone then the rectangular shaped phone and lastly the gray flip phone. Funny thing is, none of my friends had cells phones. They all had pagers so I really couldn't call anyone unless they were at home. [SIZE=14.3999996185303px]The phones and plans were very expensive. So I rarely used it. [/SIZE]Back then, your contacts were kept in a little black book. Those were the good ole days...LOL

 

Yeah, around the time I was in 9th/10th grade ('95-96) everyone had pagers Except me, of course.

 

Had one for work... Damned loud thing when it went off. People could leave a message but you couldn't hear that, so had to call them back from a pay phone and ask them what the hell they said.

 

I was too long to have a Pager. Born in 1984. However, I do remember my mom had a Pager. I really don't know why she did. I think she had it for about a year before she got a Cell Phone from Cingular Wireless. Remember them?

 

i remember when people who were on call had to carry one, because cell phones didn't exist yet.

come to think of it, i remember when they were brand new. not sure when the first ones were, as i never had one myself.
but i'm pretty sure they were around sometime in the early 60s. i know they were quite common among business types and doctors in the 70s.
