yes, you're correct. He claimed that God told him to go over there and "free their people" what he was really thinking is "Daddy told me to go over there, and act like I'm capturing our friend Saddam, so we can influence public opinion, and increase oil imports." only really stupid persons actually believe our involvement with the middle east is about freedoms. The corporate empire that Bushco is trying to spread, they are the real terrorists.
I think there was a similar story where Tony Blair said God will judge him or his faith in God helped him to do what he did. The thought therefore occurs either they are all fucking mad for listening to voices or I'm mad because I'm not hearing the voices. The voices in my head say different things like "go get another beer".
it is my opinion that you here the voices, you just do not know where they are from. God may just want you to have a beer, beer probably makes you happy. but i may be slightly biased, because i believe in God, not a God as descibed in many religions, its very hard to explain. but i believe God, i may be wrong, wouldn't back the Iraq war, as God wouldn't back the suicide of 9/11, just my opinion, but my God is love
I just don't believe in God. Everyone says something must have started it all but why does it? what if just because..... if human beings have a soul then why when I drink caffeine which affects my brain do my moods change or when I drink alcohol my moods change. My brain shouldn't effect my emotions if I have a soul. My soul should be in charge always shouldn't it. This is the reason I carry my donor card. When I die everything can go because that for me is the only way I believe I will still be alive someone even after I'm dead. I won't know it but my body parts live on. I don't want to live forever. I don't want another go. I don't want to go to heaven or hell. I'm happy being me but just once. once is enough.
i don't really want this to turn in to a theological debate, one because this is the wrong place, and two because i have no doubt, personally, that is the one thing i have no doubt over, because of certain things. i love God, no doubt, but i will never try and convince others, life is a personal journey God gives me peace and love, if you gain that from somewhere else, it doesn't make a difference peace, love and sunflowers
I get peace from knowing that one of my favourite hobbies is sleeping and when I die I'll get a whole of that.
so there really are people who try tocover their mistakes by saying God told them so??? Strange... if someone in holland would do that, I bet that person won't be taken serious for a second thanks GOD!!
I was just highlighting a supposed peaceful front with a less than peaceful congregation.. sorry. It was on a chat show [Parkinson].. the question i think prompted by wishing to align Blair with the same kinda supposed ''God made me do it'' comment.. I watched it.. it was ''God will judge him '' as many christians believe..
As a vegan and *peaceful* AR demonstrator, I relate to this post. To compare animal protectionists with people who kill thousands is sickening. Also, the US uses the word "terrorist" way too often. It is being tossed about like the word "man" or 'woman" would be. Terrorists (to Americans) are the dark skinned people who killed thousands on 9/11, so automatically anyone with Middle Eastern heritage got targeted. Did we simply forget the unabomber and Tomothy McVeigh? It's completely racist. Back to animals- how the govt allows these animals to be treated should be illigal. Me disagreeing with their worthless shitty animal protection laws does NOT make me a terrorist. the government is the real terrorist. By definition! Using fear to motivate people.
