what do u use/prefer i have limewire pro downloaded from a torrentm i use both. torrents for films and games, limewire for music and porn also say what u use, i have utorrent
i haven't downloaded in years. i buy cd's or listen to legal loss-free recorded concerts. i bought about 60 cd's in the past 7 mounths. torrents are better than p2p though, imo.
the only thing I download is concerts. I've got a great dead only site with most of their shows. Plus I'm always on archive and etree. I use bit tornado every now and again if I missed a new episode of Boston Legal.
i only use torrents as when i downloaded Lime wire pro last time i'm fairly sure it was what slowed down my computer even thought it claims to be spy ware free im catching up on the sopranos series
utorrent is da bomb no doubt limewire is good for individual songs torrent good for porn movies games software and full cds
Torrents are loads better than all the usual p2p crap, imo. But when it comes to speed, you can't beat usenet.
Well, i used to use Limewire until i found out if you read their terms of agreement. That you are allowing for them to install spyware, and adware on your computer. Also, i will never use Limewire because of how many viruses the programs have you download from. (And extremely slow download speeds.) I'm really big into warez. (If you don't know what this means, it's basically pirated things, like movies, music, and games. I will use torrents once in a while, only if an album is nearly impossible to find. But i won't use them to download movies, my reason is because they have been getting nearly everyone with copyright infringement these days for downloading newer movies. If you get copyright infringement it's not that fun, your internet company shuts off your internet and the movies company sues you. The only places i really use these days are ProjectW, ForumW, or T-Warez. These are forums that have links to download nearly everything you want on HTTP download from rapidshare, and megaupload. Most of the time i get download of 500-800 kb/s so i can download a full album in a couple minutes. It's cool though, because you have a never ending stop of uploads coming, and you can find anything. (ProjectW has over 430,000 members.) If anyone wants to know about these sites, PM me and i'll tell you some really good one's. And this is what i do when i get stoned, that's why i have over 45 gb's of music. (Plus i just never can have enough music.)
Two words; 'Use Linux'. And I perfer P2P over torrents, torrents aren't always that fast... With my T1 I usually connect to a T3 connection and any song I want is usually done within 1.5minutes, and I can get movies in a resonably amount of time, about 3 hours for a 750mb movie. ****AND BY THE WAY I DO NOT STEAL THE SONGS**** (Just to make an attempt to save my ass xD)
It really takes that long for you with a T1 connection? Wow, can't believe people still use p2p these days with download that slow with T1. I can download a movie through an HTTP site or FTP in around 30 minutes for a 700-800mb movie. (And that's with cable internet.) Also, i have both Windows Vista, and Linux running on this comp. But why use some crap p2p program, when i can download much faster through a warez site.
haha im going to do that too, also xfiles, prison break and lost and maybe heroes. thing is this comp is really pissing me off now, gettting new sick pc in few weeks time, gonna get playing shitloads of sick games and downloading loads of shit everynight with the 500gb hard drive still cant decide whether 8800gts or 8600gts nvidia, i hear people say 8800 is waste of money, but the extra memory doesnt seem to support that idea :/
utorrent hands down.. for one.. its small.. uses almost no memory.. and torrents are waaay faster and more secure than p2p.. p2p has to go through a network to get files.. while torrents you connect directly to people which makes your download speed 10X better.. i had limewire.. but damn is that a memory hog
