I'm not siding with anyone. I know they are all in it for the money but denying the fact that PETA needlessly kills animals is choosing to be manipulated by the system that is. They have the opposition, and the controlled opposition, and then there is us. The people who are given two shitty choices and told to make a decision. Just because their IRS papers say one thing doesn't mean that they don't do things off the books. Just like every other evil corporation out there.

    Seriously???

You don't honestly believe for one second that stupid shit like tax records and other financial documents or any other hard verifiable facts are going to be actually considered or even looked at, do you.

This here bandwagon don't run on facts, ma'am, just nice fresh bullshit straight from a pampered bull's ass or supporters mouth (not really much difference between the two orifices). :cowboy:

In all seriousness after perusing your website you do provide some rather solid points in defense of your position and it is hard to argue with some of the hard data.

But having said that I personally think the whole thing is asinine. Sure we are all "animals" and animals eat one another. That is simply how it is. Further humans are omnivores, not herbivores, not carnivores, we are omnivores which is one of the primary reasons humans evolved to the degree we have and have ascended to the top of the food chain. We can eat anything.:2thumbsup:

While I can understand your position and motives, I feel they are in error fundamentally and I do not support PETA or their actions.
But I do support you in your efforts to get your message out because you are approaching it with calm conversation, devoid of name-calling and juvenile insults (the kind I make:p) and have stocked your website with factual info and links to supporting documentation, not just opinion.
A lot of people here could take a lesson from you even if they disagree with your cause, I applaud your methodology.

Some things to keep in mind: The ASPCA and HSUS are advocacy organizations. They are not the same as your local SPCA and Humane association. The local groups shelter and foster animals. The national organizations usually don't. We kill 3-4 million dogs and cats a year in this country for lack of homes. A overwhelming percentage of them are pit bulls or mixes. A "no kill" shelter that turns unwanted dogs away just sends them to a worse fate. But it makes them look good so the hell with reality. So all those slamming shelters I ask you this: what would you do with all these unwanted animals? Do you volunteer at a shelter and see the heartbreaking change an animal goes through being locked up month after month. Dogs need to feel the ground under their feet, sniff the air and feel the sunshine. I have seen the effects of endless confinement personally. Until you have to look the truth in the eye everyday, it's easy to be an idealist. So instead of spending your time slamming PETA, use that time to volunteer and foster a positive change. Go to a shelter and offer to walk some dogs. It may be the first time they have been out of their wretchedly stinky kennel in months. Or how about slamming breeders who keep churning out their dogs. Are you all right with them hacking off ears and tails because "that's how they're supposed to look." Yeah, what does Mother Nature know? My point is: too much talk and not ANY walk!

And sanity prevails :) I'm not gonna lie. I want people to stop eating animals. That is precisely why this shit is so important to me. Having said that, I have a lot of respect for people who can separate their own opinions about PETA from opinions that front groups like the Center for Consumer Freedom and people like Nathan Winograd told them to have, no matter their dietary persuasion. In fact, just after publishing my website, I got a notification that my research was being discussed on a hunting forum, and I shit you not, a woman who stalks and kills animals to stock her fridge was defending PETA against the "PETA Kills Animals" crowd, and using my website to do it.

Anyway, I've go nothing but love for you, NoxiousGas, even though, in another forum, I'd be trying to make a vegan out of your ass. Not that I'm ruling that out :) I really appreciate your kind words, AND your open-mind.

I believe their is a gray area here- not all black - not all white - as with everything else in this world.

I eat meat and will never stop. It seems strange that people have just recently forgotten their diet for generations. I have a solution for this PETA debate as well everyone give PETA a bunch of rescued animals off the street with cameras hidden on them with a link to the internet that is feeding life action their response to these animals and then you will see how much they care. You will get to watch them heartlessly kill these animals and then there will be no debate. What will you say when you see it from the animals point of view as they are murdered for no reason. obviously what we have seen is not enough for the controlled masses, they need gruesome visuals as well to believe.

Agreed. I think some idiots using the name of PETA ruined it for everyone else who honestly are for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. That and meat eaters are so insecure about letting go of their precious death flesh addiction that they feel the need to attack PETA.

Its not an isolated incident when you have thousands per year dying.

Also since when is it ok to kill animals needlessly but you can tell us not to kill for food to feed our familys? There is a double standard here. you can't eat them but you can kill them for the hell of it. How humane of you.

You said you haven't taken sides yet all you've done is attack me. You stalk me on other threads and tried (unsuccessfully) to give me negative rep. I'm flattered, but get a hobby.
PETA is not about killing animals, that just makes no sense.

What does it matter how long you've been here? How does that prove PETA doesn't kill?

    *SIGH*
No post count was not her rebuttal to the arguments raised about the topic of PETA, they where in response to the statement, "I was talking here first" which I'm sure Sappho misunderstood to mean at HF in general while gingergirl was I'm sure referring to this particular thread. It is all kinda funny considering that ginger has post #11 and sappho has post #12 in this thread. :p

Now what I take away from this little drama and your post hopper is that it really shows in microcosm just what the mother fucking problem is with all this shit...

PEOPLE JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS BASED ON A LACK OF INFORMATION RATHER THAN AN ABUNDANCE OF IT.

Every player in this little page drama has made the same error and simply did not read or misunderstood the posts.

This really is annoying that people are so inept at communication.:(
