in a fair fight? Jim might be dead, but Ozzy is a bit off...I say it would go the distance and ozzy would win a close decision.
dumb question. theyre 2 different. its like who's better bonham or moon. totally different styles. but if you like jim you should check this out m30.ca/movs/i5-.The_Doors.mov
I find it still strange that you rate No more tears and Ozzmosis higher then Blizzard of Ozz and his music with Black Sabbath.
I just like the sound better, I've gone back and listend to all my Ozzy solo albums a few weeks ago, and now I do think Blizzard of Oz is much better then Ozzmosis, maybe I just had overplayed it too much years ago, but I still think No More Tears beats them all.
very insightful! please bless us with some more of your wisdom because apparently you are the all knowing expert in the field of music. Even though your pure greatness excuses you from explaining such a remark, would you still please enlighten us? Or is it just that your brain isn't capable of reasoning past the point of this guy rules and that guy sucks? Please let me know which it is, we will all eagerly be awaiting your response.
Actually he was very close to being evicted but never was, they demanded that all the graffiti on his grave and all the graves around him be cleaned up and it was so he's still there. I'm planning on being there on july 3rd 2011 for the 40th anniversary, it should be a blast. As far as the poll goes, I personally can't even put ozzy in the same sentence as jim. Im a huge ozzy fan too but you might be able to argue that if there was no jim there might be no ozzy. Jim was really the first American 'rockstar' (depending on your definition of rockstar). He was the first to really sing about death and freedom and revolution. He was even the first ever to be arrested on stage and be investigated by the FBI. Furthermore, I don't think jim would ever let himself get commercialized or put on a reality show like ozzy has. (even if it is outside influences that get him to do that shit) As far as who was crazier you could probably go story for story and incidednt for incident with the two and at the end just realize that its an exercise in futility and just be thankful that we have them both. My vote goes to Mr. Mojo Risin'
So this thread isn't merely about Ozzy and Jim but actually about a god vs. the prince of darkness! :cheers2:
Ozzy bit the head off the bat accidentally, and that came from him on a talk show interview I believe it was Letterman. he said someone threw it on stage, he thought it was a rubber look alike and bit it. Afterwards with all the attention, he did the dove. I guess being that messed up it wasn't hard to do. Butler found the groups direction and name while watching people go to horror movies across from where they were performing and the movie playing was called Black Sabbath. He went on to make what he considered horror music. Morrison's music however was much deeper and was intended on affecting people where Sabbaths was created by Butler to gain popularity. Jim never really cared much about image or money while Ozzy was all image and show. The King Snake definitely had more in him as far as transcendent meaning and love for his art. Ozzy is very commercial now. Also you cant compare Jim to Young Ozzy... Ozzy is Ozzy. If you don't like the commercials and all then you don't like Ozzy, cant cut his life into sections because history will remember the whole person. Jim in a landslide here. I will agree Ozzy was great, but he was a manufactured image, Jim was himself.
