  4. i dont know how they figured it out but i think they did a pretty good job, but i see it as truth.

polls are not always "bad" but they can be used in any way a person/or other .... wants them to be used.

i know i am over-weight. not that my weight is too high so i guess im not technically over-weight. but i have too much fat and not enough muscle.

    Define overweight.

  6. i know obesity is being 20% over the optimal/avg. body weight...

    i think over-weight is less.

I really don't think fitness should be judged by how much you weigh.

I want to go to fat camp. Not because I think I've fat(I'm just round dammit), but because I think it would a fun/quick way to get whipped into shape. Plus, I'd kick all those little fatties ass at everything!

  8. yah.... it would be nice. i need to get back into going to the gym. ive been so lazy lately and when im not lazy- i sit around studying for my finals.

i am a fanatical believer in the magical healing power of exercise. it's no wonder why so many americans are depressed - our bodies were meant to move! i had better luck with brisk walks than i had with prozac and fad diets. we had a membership in the Y for awhile, and it was so wonderful because i could work out, swim, and bake in the sauna, while my kids socialized in the child care area. i was feeling great. but my husband is such a basketcase, he'd go to any extreme to avoid social situations of any kind, and he ended up cancelling our membership instead of renewing. neurotic asshole. anyway, i gained so much weight with the baby, and i haven't been able to lose it. :(

No one has questioned if people are just evolving to be larger than they were sixty years ago. I mean, look at how many fat/large babies there are now... Besides, I've seen studies (like someone previously mentioned) that showed a lot of overweight Americans are more healthy than the Americans in the "normal" weight range. What would that show...

I know I am at my ideal weight.. if not a little under for my height..

There are fat people online? Really?

I could be in better shape and health--and I've been working on that--but I'm not overweight. I'm not skinny either, I could probably lose 20 pounds and still look healthy, but that's because I'm 6'0" and my frame is able to contain alot. I highly recommend jogging. My body only looks slightly different from when I first began jogging, but my endurance has vastly improved. This relates to whoever mentioned that some heavier people are actually healthier than those thinner than themselves. I know I'm healthier than some skinnier friends and coworkers, simply because I jog and eat a little healthier.

    I highly recommend jogging.
