Thanks for the list, dude. I would check these ones out.

Just curious, what do these underground rappers rap about?

Part of what I appreciate about any form of music is listening and knowing what the bands, singers, musicians talk about, sing or rap about for the matter.

Most everyone I listed is political/concious hip hop, not so much Aesop and MF Doom, but they are definitely intelligent, both Aesop and doom are known for eclectic metaphors and their lyrical prowess. Immortal Technique is a personal fav of mine, but be forewarned, he is very very raw, violent, and intensely political.....some people get very offended by his lyrics, not me.....I think the guy is amazing and revolutionary. Granola Funk is a group of rainbow kids that started a band, nice hip hop, funk, jazzy blend.....just check it out, everything i listed i think is pretty good, and none of it is dumbed down bitches, hoes, bling bling look at me consumer shit.

I know people have their right to an opinion, but damn lol. How can you say that Tupac, JAY-Z, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg are whack?? I think I can agree with 50 Cent(although im a big fan of his work, he's been losing his edge) and Snoop Dogg, but not Tupac. And the other thing is, these rappers have sold millions of albums, so it seems like the fans don't feel that they're trash at all. Jay-Z and 50 were at the top of Forbes, and 2pac and Snoop were part of the West Coast-East Coast rivalry, and they were making great music, and they went on to have successful rap careers.

Over rated Rappers IMO: Jim Jones, Souja Boy, Young Joc, Fat Joe, Lil Boosie, Lil Wayne(although he's lyrically gifted lol, ppl blow him out of proportion) etc.

Like the guy above said. Jim Jones, Souja boy, Lil boosie, Lil wayne (Dont get me wrong he's good, but he isnt real with the street) they are all overated.

    2 pac is good.

Z-ro is the most street figure rapper I know thats true to the streets.

2Pac aint overrated, he's the best there was and ever will be. Sure, he played into the stereotype of being a thug but he still made some meaningful songs. He was called the best while he's alive and he's still the best even though he's "dead."

It seems like that's all rappers now want to "rap" about or they want to make songs about getting silly or some dumb shit like that. I mean, seriously, there are probably dozens, if not hundreds of actual good rappers out there who never get famous while people like that faggot ass Soulja Boy gets to be on TV every week with a new, worser video than before.
