ahaha, yeah I was just about to stop liking you But you saved it with this one The thing is nirvana isn't good music just at first glance, the rythm is nothing special... Everyone could have made it, but there was something special about it... Their texts aren't great if you just look at them, but if you think about them they're really good/sick, they were so awesome so personal... And I'm glad you said death not suicide
yup, it's actually my favourite nirvana album. Frances Farmer will have her revenge on Seattle, Heart Shaped Box, Rape me... are some very good songs.
in utero was the first one I got some people were like 'you know that that album disappointed right!? If you like them so much why didn't you buy a good one?' And I still think it's their best one
Music is not only rhytm and stuff. It is also a feeling. When I am angry I like to listen to Nirvana. It makes me feel good. But they aren't the best musicians. They still transfer alot of energy and emotion in me. I like Nirvana.
yeah... imo 'nevermind' sucked, and that is apparently their 'best' album. 'in utero' is my favourite nirvana album... its much more introspective than any of their other works. and when im feelin down (a lot lately), introspection is what i want to hear. my favourite tracks from that album are 'milk it', 'scentless apprentice', 'dumb', and 'all apologies'.
i agree with the nirvana,i actuly think kurt cobain is more over rated then his band everyone loves him but can give a fuck about anyone else,if it wasnt for the rest of the band backing him up i think he wouldnt have made it anywhere. but the modest mouse i disagree, they are very good altho there new album wasnt as good as there older stuff(but i still liked it), they had a very short MTV buzz(which i tihnk pissed off fans, i kind of pissed me off to) but because of there style of music the MTV and pop music croud didnt get into them, but i do think float on is very overrated, there not a pop MTV type of band, i dont know how they are wannabe music for wannabe artists
Yeah sorry dude I was a bit knackered and grumpy when I wrote that. I just think that it's harsh to call them talentless, because even if you don't like them, I still can't see them as talentless.
People who want to stand out as indie kids always seem to rave about Modest Mouse. The music is okay, but certainly not worthy of the hero worship the indie snobs seem to have of them. As a band, they seem to be more concerned about making sure to fit in with the current indie scene than to make great music, which is ironic because they're signed to a major record label. I just don't get the feeling it's about the music. They seem more occupied with trying to get respect.
I think everybody should rave. I love dance music. Techno, trance, acid, progressive. Rock is dead. No more good rock. Only whiney radiohead copy's. The last good rockbands were Nirvana and Metallica. And Beck is cool too.
i know what you mean im definitly not indie at all,but i dont know they realy dont seem like there trying to be indie after the MTV thing i just think they fit with indie the best ,i realy dont care all i know is i like there music and i think they are good musicans,i dont realy care about there image
I think Dave Matthews Band is overrated. I mean I like alot of their music but people are making them out to be "one of the all time greatest jam bands". But to be honest, I can't say I really agree. Especially lately, their music has a pop influence sound to it.
I think the most overated musician of ALL TIME is Bob Marley. damn everyone is on his ass. i don't really like Bob Marley. and he is commerical as hell.
