I can not wait until this election season here is finally over. The mud slinging political advertisements are just unbearable. I've burned out my mute button.

 

I don't think this will be the end - it's only a matter of time before a General Election comes around

 

It's just awful....this one allows rapists and child molesters on the street, that one defends wife beaters, this one is a tax cheat, this one is a gun nut.....oh it goes on and on at 2x the volume....and as always, seems those that spend the most on advertising will win, no matter the issues.

 

Politicians over this side of the pond have a cap on what they can spend for their election campaign and whoa betide anyone who transgresses that limit as, if they are elected they could be debarred from taking their seat.

 

WHAT?? You mean you can't have big pharma cut a fat campaign check so they can charge whatever they want for drugs? What kind of political system is that....something for the people??

 

No, absolutely not !!! - we're grown up, this side of the pond !!!

 

As we've said, we have the best politicians money can buy. It's truly embarrassing to the rest of the world the shit that goes on here. And frightening.

 

Perhaps now Zen matey, you'll understand why I want a complete reform of our government structures with the abolition of the House of Lords, abolition of the monarchy, to be replaced with a directly elected President and directly elected Senators. All elections to be by way of Proportional representation (Single Transferable Vote) which would also include elections to the House of Commons.

 

Come on..................just vote for Larry!!!!11!!!!!.
