geez, i don't even know what i believe anymore. i see albertine's point of view, but i also agree that political correctness has gotten a bit ridiculous. man, that's why i hate talking politics even though it's so easy to get absorbed by it. these issues have never been solved and never will be. my only advice...live a simple life. the simpler the life, the simpler the laws of the universe are.
Justice at its best corrects everything that stands against love. We can be truthful without being hostile. There's no cause for it. Telling the truth does not necessitate personal insults. Why do so many people want just "freedom" (their skewed version of it) rather than FREEDOM, JUSTICE, PEACE & EQUALITY? Why just one when you can have the whole package? They are all equally important.
Libertine, no offense you seem legitimate in your argument, but that is why i stopped labeling myself as a liberal or whatever, because you go around talking about having more freedom in society, and then when someone says something you don't agree with youre all like oh he should be censored he can't say that, thats exactly how your "conservative "enemies act, and you try and act like your so much more superior to them, atleast they live in this corrupt system and support it, instead of a lot of liberals who follow and live their lives by the corrupt system but just because they talk about how bad it is they feel that they don't support it. if you were a real liberal you would feel that everyone should be able to say their opinion, and you should have freedom of expression with your art.
Excuse me, WHEN the hell did I say ANYONE should be censorsed??? Have you even read anything I've said here? I have stated time and time again that CENSORSHIP is NOT the answer. Education, Awareness and Common Respect are pieces of the puzzle that we need. NOT CENSORSHIP!
Hmmm...ok. Are you sure it wasn't "music videos" ? If so, that was referring to the degradation of women. But, video games? That must've been something different.
Your comments are apparently meant to bring negative vibes to everything--so in a sense, they are what is worthless. Or at least harmful to worth itself.
Ahh..ok. Yes, that was in reference to the majority of what dominates the conversations of young people. There is nothing wrong with video games, but I was contrasting it to what was on the mind of the youth in the 60s. Peace, Equality and Justice far outweighs "Resident Evil". A real world solution has been substituted for a "roleplaying" generation. That's what I was talking about there.
