ouiji boards.. do they really work?

I'm not sure if it works or not, but it's probably not a good idea messing with it.

 

I had a cheap plastic one when I was in 4th grade and for about 2 weeks during xmas vacation it worked...i didn't even have my hands on it at times and it would spin and tip over.
I have tried using it as an adult and it never worked, i made 1 and it didn't work, I am making 1 soon for my mother for her bday, hopefully it will work for her.
Just be very careful and nice if invoke a spirit!

 

im very interested in ouiji boards, but i do think that if you want to learn how to start, stop, and things you need someone who is used to doing them and knows the rules. just because if one of the sprits do come through and doesnt want to go back, you might have that around you for a long time, but if there is someone who knows what they are doing might be able to intise them back.


i did it a few years ago but it was the wrong way. as soon as it started moving me and my friends legged it so fast it proberly looked like we were ghosts!!!! and we never went back to the place we did it either. i wouldn't even walk near it.

Yeah, me and my friend made on one time out of cardboard. I think I might make one some other time here to talk to my dead brother. I never met him and would like to.

I went near a very very old quija board my friends grandma gave him and it scared the holy shit out of me on how it moved wildly as I entered the room no one even had there hand on it talk about WIERD and I see shadow people too. I was too scared to lay hands on the damn thing after I seen that.

BTW both of my parents died violently in seperate incidents and many loved ones and a couple of my friends died unexpectedly. Could that have something to do with what happened?

heck yeah they work! But they're evil and I would urge you to stay away from them. They're not all fun and games like you might think.
Me and my friends used to play with them all the time. We were just fascinated that we were communicating with the "other side." Then, when I was about 14 or so.... 2 of my friends got demon-posessed and were going into violent convulsions and it was out of our hands... we couldn't make them stop! How do you explain that one to your parents?
I've never gone near one since.

If you want to have a groovy supernatural experience that effects your spirit in a positive way, go to church and worship God. After all, He created all that stuff. Take a nose dive into the Bible and watch all the blessings and miracles God will work in your life. He will make a way where there is no way. Those kinds of supernatural experiences will give you a high like you can't get anywhere else.

 

I agree with this, definitely. But since this isn't a religion forum I will be respectful and leave it at that, since Moonjava said it best anyway. No need to beat it into the ground. But do give it some consideration.

As for the subject of the occult, I wouldn't reccomend getting into that kind of thing like the ouija board, and not just because of my faith, either. If anything, I would not get into those kind of things unless you REALLY knew what you were doing, as in you were trained and knew what to do in what situation. The supernatural is real, although it is nothing like what you see on the tv shows like "charmed" and the like, I know for a fact that it is there, and it can be interacted with. It can be powerful too, as well as dangerous, and you can mess with things that you really shouldn't be messing with. It may be all fun and games and something like a ouija board may seem mostly harmless, but that one time that it isn't may not be worth all the times it is.

 

I don't believe that they work at all. Even when I practiced Wicca, I didn't use ouija boards, because I found them to be a waste of time. Someone was always moving the selector, and the one friend I had in high school "got posessed" and went into "convulsions" for attention. She even admitted it later on after we were much older. Drama queen... LOL.

As I got older, I started thinking about how I felt about contacting the dead (before I converted, BTW). I arrived at the feeling that it's actually a bit selfish, because we aren't contacting them for their benefit... But rather for our own. Our loved ones toiled their whole lives before crossing over, and I feel that it's kind of disrespectful to disturb them with my trivial worries.

Like the time my little sister woke me up from a marvelous dream to ask me where she put the remote control. I thought I was gonna scream...

 

both of my experiences with ouija boards as i remember them, were both very vivid.

The first time all the candles went out in the room at the same time.
The second time the "spirit" wouldn;t talk to me and told my friend it wasn't going to talk to me because I belonged to God.

At the time i wasn't really "walking with God" but I guess He was protecting me.

i wouldn't recommend getting involved in that stuff, there are far more fulfilling spiritual things you could be doing. I also think in most cases, someone is moving the thingie and alot of it is just plain fake. People are really good at pretending and being sneaky.

The spirit world is real, that's for sure. But alot of it will hurt you and get you mixed up and feeling troubled.

The truth shall set you free, people! So if you are not feeling free, you have not found the truth!

seriously they are NOT good!
my next door neighbour did them and bought her 4 year old daughter one fo her birthday!
we were friends with this women but we started having weird stuf happening around our house.her daughter used to tel her mom that aman kept looking at her form inside the wardrobe which was inline with our front room where we had a piano and it started playing all by itself!
no lie,this was freaky and i tohught that my mum was imagening thisngs wen shetold me until i heard it myself went downstairs in the middle of the night and opened the door and the piano sped towards me and into the wall!

there was also of weird demonic(if you wanna call it that) activity sofas were lifted up,things chucked around the radio would turn on all by itself,there was a constant feeling that something was there and it was watching me,and it freaked me out big time.
i dont really understand what ouji is meant to benefit anyone for but i strongly advise you not to,if you are open to hearing the spirits you are open to all the wickendness of some stranger and waht they could do to you!
dont mean to freak you out but its not a wise thing to do believe me.
it took years to get rid of whatever was in my house

Who would buy their 4 year old a ouija board? What business does a small child have playing with one of those things?
I've seen weird things like that happen as well when we used to play with them. It's pretty freaky!!!!
The board always worked at my cousin's house but it would never work at mine. Strange....

 

it's best not to be freaked out by these things...if this is true, it's most likely that the ghost started starting to get your attention once they communicated with you...poltergeists move shit around and make noise and stuff..to let you know they're there. my dad lived in a house where bibles would mysteriously rip themselves apart...and i've lived in a place where i'm sure there was a ghost. things would turn on/off all the time, things would move, etc....so..yeah..not a big deal i use ouija thingies all the time..usually a peice of paper and a coin or something, it doesn't really matter what it is. i think it's fun

 

all you people who are so paranoid about ouija boards, cut it out. They're nothing more than just boards, they're not posessed, they're not bringers of bad luck, they're just boards. GET OVER IT ALREADY.

 

I don't think the issue is about the boards themselves. It's about messing with things that you aren't equipped to mess with. It's like driving a freight truck when you don't even have a regular driver's license for a car!
