Wait, are you saying that by being barefoot they let you make a purchase. Don't they let shod people buy stuff?

Yeah, you'd think a high quality store of modern technology would be more aggressive towards barefooters in their store. But I guess not. I bought the iPad2 last week at a best buy, and the employee who was helping me out either didn't notice, or was doing a good job not to look at my feet and didn't make it obvious that he was wondering why I was barefoot.

I've been shopping barefoot several times in different tech stores or computer shops. hi tech together with hardware stores are among the most tolerant places.
there is kind of a 'tolerance zone' in my town, which is the sea village: for obvious reasons no one never wastes a single word over bf customers or bypassers on the street. also, it's home of the single other BF'er of the whole town, who btw is a buddy of mine. out of that happy island it is all the same story: where are your shoes, we don't want the responsibility of you hurting your feet, police officers questioning you, grins, looks jokes and yells.

There a girl who rides barefoot into Manchester on her bike, I always seem to pass her on my drive into work. Its the most relaxed-looking bike ride ever! I wonder if she is aware of this forum

I was at Dairy Queen tonight helping a friend whose car broke down and a teenage boy got out of a car and went in barefoot. First one I've seen in a while.

People are really tolerant here. I've gone into almost every place barefoot. Only been questioned about it once. However, I'm the only barefooter here. Makes barefooting kind of lonely...

Saw a hippie riding his bicycle with no shoes in sight. He did not look very clean, even from a distance.

Ran into the gas station c-store to get a credit receipt since the pump was out of paper, and saw a girl barefoot on the other side of the pump about to start filling up her car as I came back to my car.

There was a guy of about 20 barefoot (no shoes in sight) in the Hull branch of Asda-Walmart. We exchanged glances but didn't speak.

I'm on a mountain and am barefoot most of the time; snow, pine needles, doesn't matter. I only know 2 people up here wo go barefoot, & only in the summer on certain terrain. Even they think I'm crazy when I'm in just shorts in the snow.

That is crazy (good crazy)! Lots of respect for that guy, one tough cookie.

Saw a family yesterday, the father and daughter (around three or four years old) barefoot, the mother wearing flip-flops. I was very surprised to see this as the kids don't even go barefoot in my small town (not even at the park!), and this family was walking right in my subdivision. It is still being built, so the roads are terrible and there are tons of stones around. From experience I know how challenging all these stones can be on a paved surface, as opposed to a dirt surface which has more give under the stones.

Unfortunately I was driving at the time, and while I was barefoot, they had no way of seeing that. I waved on instinct, but they were probably just confused lol. I was very tempted to park and hop out to give (and recieve lol) some moral support to a fellow barefooter, but I thought it might just weird them out. They can't live too far away, so I'll probably see them again sometime, it's so lonely in my town in terms of other barefooters.

I just started going barefoot late this
summer, and what ls really funny
is that I've only seen two
sightings this summer so far, both within
ten minutes of each other, and
both during my first day without
    shoes this summer.

    Wierd coincidence.
