Billy the only way you are truly screwed is if you buy into marketting hype without verifying it. Much like the market has done for the last eight years. Thinking people have hedged their investments,

Aren't we insured by AIG...no, then why are we bailing them out, and what are they going to do for our country. Can McCain and Palin answer that?

Who exactly does AIG protect with their insurance. Since the taxpayers are bailing them out shouldn't we know that?

Ah, fyrenza, please don't take it all the wrong way.

I'm sure you are a cool guy, in your own unbalanced way.

Right now it's hard to recognize. For eight years I've had to be careful about what I said, because I could be seen as an enemy of the state because I didn't believe we should have gone to war in Iraq. I've seen my rights eroded through the patriot act and and other executive orders. I've seen the SPP developed and all of my elected officials play dumb that it even exists.

I welcome a transformation of transparency and openness, one that hasn't existed since Bush/Cheney took office.

I never thought my generation would stand back and let this happen, but we did. In fact some of us made it happen. They will end up wealthy and powerful, they sold out..

But today is another day and their wealth and prosperity at the expense of everyone else is being called into account. I think the new generations are stepping up to the plate, and I hope they call us into account.

It's not about the little guy buying a home he couldn't afford. The question should be why did the banks make those loans? Did they think they could profit even if the little guy couldn't afford the bubble payments? I bet they did...now they get bailed out for bad judgement but the working person doesn't.

Where did it go wrong? Where it went wrong was the market based their calculations on faulty formulas. But let's blame the working man for trying to provide a home for his family.

Let's not blame Wall Street for being greedy and not fully understanding what they were playing with, let's bail them out...dumb as they are, more money will make everything alright.

It may mitigate things for the short term, but it's not a fix.

Quote from 6-year-old Barack HUSSEIN Obama:
"I wish that Mrs. Finkelsmith could teach us about some of the other people in the world. I would like to learn more about other religions too."

At 6, this boy already had a broader perception, an idea in his young mind that the United States may do well to open its educational and public discourse to the fact that we live on a globe, not a single, hegemonic, Christianist land-mass that can unilaterally dictate human history. Too bad he wasn't a kindergartener in 1930s Germany. He may have written his essay to his leaders there.

I see no other way this statement can be interpreted than the wisdom and foresight of a future leader who will question the isolationism and jingoism and lust for power that portends the fall of empires.

Yes, this sounds overstated. But he was only 6, after all. His mom probably told him he couldn't have his ice-cream sandwich unless he wrote something smart. Moms can be such a pain.

Haha.:smilielol5: I've got a hunch that wa bluska wica was making this story up. Good job in offering praise to your false messiah however, I'm sure your loyalty will not go without notice. Want to know more? Find out who Israella Dharmawan is.

Maybe by voting for him I'll get 21 virgins in the afterlife.

Unless The Rapture comes first, then I'll only get Sarah Palin.

    He's not touting a Messiah.

That's pretty cheap, Wacky. The man is obviously a great leader, and one would have to be a fool not to see it. Have you noticed how far he has gotten? Noticed how far YOU have gotten?

See, that's the thing. You can smear all you want, and maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. But even if you are wrong, you can't help but accept you are a midget talking about a giant. And you're no David. There is no conspiracy to put him where he is. Like McCain, who is also a very talented leader, he played his way to the top of a very difficult and serious game with very high stakes. These two great men are battling it out with staggering resources and they are waging enormous strategies against one another in a contest much like war, except the slings and arrows are words. The soldiers are the same.

Your words ring hollow. (One midget to another)

I think that is what his analogy was inferring.

re·dis·tri·bu·tion·ist-Economics. a person who believes in, advocates, or supports income redistribution.

Duly noted: Substitute anything Obama has said in the 40 years since that might illustrate a world view rather than myopia. He's attacked because he is a thinker. He sees shades in a world palleted with more than two colors (black and white). He refuses to "put a boot in yer ass" if you disagree with him, so he's scary.

I'll get back to you, Wacky, on November 5th, with one word: "Boo."
