Hey BRUCHA---2 of my kids were born at home in Lincoln City and one owns a house there. We go over once in a while---Maxwells,the casino or pier 101 to eat and Old Oregon Tavern to shoot pool and suck up some beer. I first came there in '72. 'bout the only change is the casino----in Springfield now.

Haha Christmas Valley!!! I actually know where that is. I live in the Willamette Valley, but my brothers and step dad would go to Christmas Valley twice a year when I was younger. Good luck on your journey to the coast. There's a high probability you'll fall in love with the ocean very quickly and avoid going more than 1-2 hours inland the rest of your life.

Seaside here. (Actually about 30 miles out of Seaside in the Coast Range mountains, but a Seaside address.)

Ahhh-the greater metropolitan area of Otis! The back road to Neskowin is one of the most beautiful anywhere. Alas--I'm still in Springfield.

If you are tent camping, you can pretty much camp in any National Forest along the way.
