Probably one of the most underrated films. We're familiar with Jaws which was a fantastic film but people forget about Orca and perhaps The Deep.

Never saw Orca but I absolutely remember 'The Deep"

If memory serves I believe Jacqueline Bisset won the movies wet t-shirt contest.

No ways , you have never seen it.
    Not as vicious as Jaws.
the underwater thinking and strategy of the killer whale is pretty cool..
This whale has a target and goes after that person.
Again it's not as exciting as Jaws, but still decent..

Yes. Richard Harris accidently harpoons the Orca's mate. She's distressed and attempts to kill herself by swimming into the boat's propellers. They haul her up and she aborts a fetus onto the ship's deck. Like Orison mentioned the Orca then goes after Harris and his crew for revenge. I suppose I should slap a big old spoiler alert for those who haven't had the chance to watch. There is a scene where the Orca brings down a house on stilts and bites Bo Derek's leg off. There is some question as to the Orca's fate after he gets his revenge. There is also a scene that pokes at Jaws. A Great White Shark is killed by the killer whale. Perhaps b/c of a scene in Jaws 2. Some people say Orca is a rip off of Jaws and maybe there are some elements but imo it is an entirely different film. I'd highly recommend this and The Deep.
