    Even-steven?

I know it's a cop out, and against the rules, but whatever, it's about the message...

I thought my provocation would work eventually.

Yes, I feel very oppressed playing about on my computer at work.
    God life is hard.

That was quite a lot of useless waffle really, imho.

Thanks for atleast making the effort, appreciated.

    Yep. :)

Thanks to the computer it is.

    Nagh, I never do.
Apart from when I'm listening to Mr Chomsky.

Seriously, when a persons say: "It's obvious to most people" (or words to that effect)...I don't believe them. It feels like a self qualifier for their BS.

oh don't be fooled, he's very oppressed. This is a terrible dictatorship, remember? We're all caged animals with no rights whatsoever, you just can't tell. You're actually quite controlled and abused. /sarcasm

    could you give examples?
the only thing I can think of is people with rich/powerful connections getting hookups, but I hardly see that as worthy of labeling as "oppression". I feel I can do anything I put my mind to... Besides having to sneak around if I wanna smoke pot, I can't think of anything I can't do without "oppression"...

Lets give a perfect example, say freedom of leaving a state or even the country? I have a cousin that got charged for a big bag of weed and it brought him a felony.

A year ago he was planning to perhaps retire down in Australia but was denied a U.S passport due to his felony. The way politicians in government haved lawed up everything "for the sake of the children" in this country the last few decades they are passing felonies out like candy to the American public.

Felonies come with a steep cost,
    1. you have a felony you can't vote,
    2. can't own a gun
    3. can't be resorted to any political party
    4. can't run for no office
    5. can't leave the state
    6. can't leave the country or perhaps make it impossible through red tap to do so.
    7. nor get any remote decent job, and much much more.

Basically The U.S government doesn't except you as a U.S citizen any longer and can do what ever the fuck they want to in trampling on your constitutional rights and you can't even leave if you don't like it.

This could be the reason at large why we have low voting registration numbers the pass 20 years.

I may not agree with some of the laws, but it can't be terribly surprising when a law is enforced, no? I'd rather be called a pussy and have a clean record and a good career than be one of those "rebel" types who go nowhere.
