The US government has actually acknowledged Operation Gladio in 2006.

In March of 2012 we noted the similarity of a Wounded Knee scenario with the stay-behind concept of which Gladio is only one example: Yahoo Groups: acarology, message #2389. The ref is McSherry PJ, Predatory States: Operation Condor and Covert War in Latin America. The Lyman excerpt is from Lyman SD, Wounded Knee 1973: A Personal Account (1991). McSherry mentions Operation Gladio, though when we consider the Turkish part in McSherry's excerpt, we must by default point to the Assange-Manning Wikileaks for State Department cables to Turkey, for these link to Yale University and the Boston Brahmin accent, as we shall see, at Yahoo Groups: preventionbetterthancure.
