I recently sent the following letter to the ACLU, and to NARAL Pro-Choice America. And I want to share it with all of you, too. Please read:

    Dear ACLU/NARAL Pro-Choice America:

I am not a member now, that I am aware of (although I do often sign on to your actions). But I wanted to ask you a blunt question about President-elect Donald Trump. It will clearly be a long, hard road ahead for all us freedom lovers/NARAL: pro-choice people. Did you ever think of just reasoning with the man?

They were interviewing one of his supporters on ABC. And he brought up a good point. Mr. Trump is really neither a conservative nor a liberal. He is an independent, like most of us (including me even, sometimes). And surely he is not above some of the niceties of life, like respect and kindness.

Your "reasoning" with him could go something like this. Supreme Court vacancies. Does he really want to overturn Roe v. Wade? What if his wife, or his daughter, needed a therapeutic abortion some day? I trust you can see where this is going.

My mother used to tell me, as a child, you can attract more flies with honey than vinegar. And it still rings true today....

Thank you for your many years of service to this country,

    [MY NAME AND LOCATION]

Yeah, do any of you think this will have any impact? And who would, or should, read it, do you think?

BTW, I support Trump. Now. I didn't vote for him. But he's our leader, so basically he is all we have now, for our hopes and dreams.

Appealing to men with the privilege of money about something that benefits the lower middle classes and working classes is almost pointless, given his disdain for the workers in the country.
His wife/daughter could fly somewhere, or pay a physician, just like the pro Roe days.
