I always have a sidearm with me and sometimes my sawed off 12ga. I carry, but depends on the area I'm in to which way I'm going about it. If I'm in the ghetto, I get out, make sure the mag is full, check it over in plain sight, lock n load!
I don't give a flying fuck what anyone has to say or do about it either. I also have SPORTING RIFLES, not assult rifles! They are full auto, military only unless permit and have that one too.

IMO I'd rather take my chances with a jury than carried to a hole! People die everyday, I'm not going down from lack of fighting back.

my take is that anyone who wants to be feared is a useless ass who should never be trusted anyway, just on general principals.

To "MeAgain",

There is much that you have said that I would love to respond to...but I've already said that I won't, because most here refuse to accept logical arguments. However, I absolutely must respond to your one comment.

While I never said that anyone who doesn't agree with me is a jerk and a moron...I did unintentionally imply as much. I allowed my emotions to get the better of me, the product of 30+ years of accumulated frustration and angst over being treated as a criminal. Still, I shouldn't have responded in such a manner, and I do apologize to everyone for my uncalled-for outburst.

Thank you for calling me out on it!

Blue State People are mostly not used to guns, I'm not.

we have conceded a monopoly of force, mostly, to law enforcement.

I don't know where you get that from, because it's absolutely not true. California does define revolving cylinder shotguns as assault weapons, not single shot.

Wiki;

Seven states have assault weapon bans with different definitions and characteristics.[26]
• California defines assault weapons by name, by "series" (AK or AR-15), and by characteristic.[27] A shotgun with a revolving cylinder is also defined as an assault weapon.[12]
• Connecticut defines assault weapons as selective-fire firearms (including assault rifles capable of fully automatic or burst fire); semi-automatic firearms specified by name; and semi-automatic firearms with specific characteristics.[13]
• Hawaii defines and bans assault pistols.[28]
• Maryland defines and bans assault pistols. It regulates 45 other assault weapons listed by make and/or model including copies, regardless of manufacturer.[28][29]
• Massachusetts defines assault weapons as semi-automatic firearms with the same definition provisions from the expired federal ban of 1994.[30]
• New York had an assault weapons ban prior to 2013, but on January 16 of that year it passed the SAFE Act, which created a stricter definition of assault weapons and banned them immediately.[31][32][33] The NY SAFE Act defines assault weapons as semi-automatic pistols and rifles with detachable magazines and one military-style feature, and semi-automatic shotguns with one military-style feature.[32]
• Virginia defines certain firearms as assault weapons and regulates their sale and use.[28]

Yep, No armor-clad gunman invaded a movie theater, no gunman went into an elementary school killing children and educators, no white supremacist opened fire on places associated with Jewish activities, no ISIS terrorist ran amok through a government controlled building, no, just a typical weekend in Chicago ~sigh~

Sometimes, but mainly a home defense weapon. First round is triple 000 buck, double 00 buck, couple nasty tear your ass apart slugs, finish with another 00 buck round. I left it plain jane looking, wood stock etc, no conversions.
Out of all the firearms, the 12ga is still the best tool for the job, just not around a crowd. You will hit you're target, but a lot of bystanders too. Then again, a group of people up to no good, will only cost me one shell, or two and no more problem(s).

How many people have some of you guys actually shot? I mean....some of these posts read like a casual conversation I might have with someone about cutting wood or something.

"When I'm removing small brush, I find that a saw with a 30 inch bar is just too much weight for the job. I prefer something smaller with maybe a 12 inch bar."

"When I'm killing the rift-raft, I prefer a sawed-off shotgun. It's lighter and easier to conceal. Once in a while, I'll use bird shot if I'm low on deer slugs. You might hit a few innocent bystanders but hey....you'll have that sometimes!"

Like the shit happens all the time.

Edit....read that as if George Carlin was saying it. He'd have a field day with this. :)

I've shot two people if that's what you are asking. I have no regrets for it and will do it again in a heartbeat if needed. Did I kill them, no, but that was my choice of where I pointed my weapon. I sent them a message they still get to this day!

I also have no problem doing so again either, we can't all be saints and live in a perfect world. If it comes down to you or i, I'm taking you out before that situation comes around. It don't bother me and never lose a seconds sleep over it.

If you think I'm full of shit, well there is one way to find out. I honestly feel worse when I hurt a dog than I do a human. I'm not a 'badass' Kung fu kick flip super hero, just a person who tolerates no shit and if you get in my way, I will move you by any means possible!
Again, if you think I'm full of BS, I'll gladly give you my info and you can come and run your mouth or whatever it is you want to do. I know my fine lines and loop holes of what I can and can't do and flex them to the fullest.

Well, that escalated pretty fast! :)

Of course I'm not going to come to your house. I have no interest in hurting or attempting to hurt anyone. At the same time, if for some reason, I wanted to hurt someone who had a gun, I'd never project my intent and they would never even have the chance to see if they would get to use their gun. It would still be in it's holster as they hit the ground. :)

Same here, just leave me alone and I'll do the same! A gun is a tool, just like my truck I use for work etc, they all have their place.
