We are never upset by a fact, but our interpretation of a fact. It is true you have natural responses, but reality supports reality. Whenever we are angry, it is because some element of our inner dialogue is not true.

I think it's the opposite, personally. Many people don't allow themselves to become angry, or they at least TRY to resist it, but anger is a natural response to many things. Certain kinds of anger can actually be healthy/positive, assuming it's properly focused. Anger can be the perfect motivation for some very positive changes in the world and in ourselves.

I agree.. Anger, like fear, is something that you can't always resist. But if expressed properly, it can be a good thing.

But unlike expressing happiness badly, you can end up with a your television lodged into a wall and a dead cat on your hands

As a motivation, anger is the result of unresolved fight or flight response. To dissipate excess adrenaline provides some relief. I'm not suggesting we avoid or suppress anger but consider the world in proper regard and there is no cause for anger, no cause for alarm.

"If your house is on fire, the most urgent thing to do is to go back and try to put out the fire, not to run after the person you believe to be the arsonist."
