Oooooo --You Just Better Not Do That!

    Lived in SF for a short period of time--'61. Across the street was a lesbian bar--didn't know it until I went in, of course. The women were pretty stand-offish at first, until they realized I was just a guy that wanted to drink a few beers and shoot some pool, so I was accepted. Then one night---a bunch of cops swooped in and arrested all the girls/women that were wearing MENS CLOTHING!! I mean--hauled them off to jail. Don't know what charge could have been lodged against them, a friend named Toni said it happened frequently and that was the price they-- the butch girls/women had to pay. Oh, the good old days,eh?
