the first two rock songs i learned to play on the piano were riders on the storm and wintertime love. the doors are one of the all time greats. an awesome blend of original lyrics plus the musical talent to back it up. its something that seems to be missing in most popular music in this day and age. we need another jim, or jerry..someone to keep the dream alive...
i love the doors! jim morrison was a brilliant man, but he was also a very troubled man...but in the immortal words of bill hicks, "I WANT MUSICIANS WHO PLAY FROM THEIR HEART!!!!" jim is often idolized, but everyone forgets about ray manzerek, robby krieger, and john densmore...there wouldn't be the doors without the help of those guys...

I agree with that,and I'm guilty of it myself,at times. I like The Doors...I like the lyrics and the sound of most of their songs.
