I actually thought that was the best part. You guys may be shocked to know how much hardcore music I've listened to over the years (having raised teenage boys). It's never been my thing but I've heard enough of it to develop my own preferences in the genre.

 

I've been listening to them quite a bit the last couple days, some songs are like the first vid I posted and too much techno, but other songs are pretty good

Although the current state of metal has something to do with it, with the exception of maybe Gojira, no ones broken in the last decade, so every other option is a bunch of grandpas that have been around since the cold war, Judas Priest have a new album out this year, how old are they like 100

So if Babymetal tour here I'll probably go see them

Haha, a friend of mine sent me a link to these a good few weeks ago, I wasn't sure what to make of it, it really shouldn't mix well!

 

Ok, so its been just over two weeks since I posted this, I DL'd the album just after this, and its been all that I've been listening too. I think its a pretty awesome album, one of those albums where almost every track is a winner.

They are a bit of a thing now, cos they are all across the net and about to debut in europe at UKs sonisphere, been tracking comments from metalheads across various sites, with the same old arguments, against them cos either they are prefabricated, or just because they are japanese, or because they are fronted by little girls, or cos they lip sync or use backing tracks or autotune.

Despite all those arguments, they obviously, given the quality of the songs have many credible musicians and songwriters behind them, when the live band is playing with masks on, I dont see really any difference between that and what slipknot does, or they are just a band that have the backup dancers in the foreground.

Looking at the rest of the lineup for Sonisphere, its like oh gawd, same old old farts that have been around forever, how many friggin times do you need to see Iron maiden, Metallica or The Prodigy in concert, yawn

If Sonisphere was in Sydney, I'd be going for Gojira first, Baby Metal second
