I was just out on my usual evening stroll around the earby country park of course I was barefoot when a young girl exclaimed " look that man doesn't have shoes or socks on!" It was all very adorable and I smiled and walked by but it got me thinking... For someone to say "he's got no shoes or socks on" seems very British I could be wrong but I feel elsewhere in the world people would just say "look he's barefoot" just a Thursday evening thought. Happy barefooting

  2. Quite!

We blustery Yanks yell out "Where's yer shoes?" "Lose yer shoes?" They very rarely say the word that dares not speak its own name: "barefoot"!

I usually hear ‘he’s got no shoes on’ or ‘why isn’t he wearing shoes’...very rarely do people say the word barefoot!

It does demonstrate the honesty of children.
