Coronavirus: Sex during lockdown with someone outside your household is illegal from today

Having sex in your own home with someone from a different household is illegal from today, according to new legislation.

At 11.30am on Monday, a new law will be introduced to Parliament that bans two people from different households in England gathering in a private place during the coronavirus lockdown.

The amendment to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Bill states: "No person may participate in a gathering which takes place in a public or private place indoors, and consists of two or more persons."

It comes as health officials warn the lockdown is being lifted too quickly.

Previously, going to another person's home to have sex would have been a breach of coronavirus lockdown restrictions, but now both parties could technically be prosecuted under the law. Having sex in public is already illegal.

Only those with a "reasonable excuse" are permitted to meet in a private place.

This includes elite athletes, those attending a funeral, those caring for a vulnerable person and people who need childcare.

The amended bill reads: "No person may, without reasonable excuse, stay overnight at any place other than the place where they are living."

This differs from the previous legislation, which prohibited people from leaving their home at all without a reasonable excuse.

Anyone breaking the law can be fined £100, halved to £50 if paid within 14 days.

Human rights barrister Adam Wagner tweeted on Sunday: "I can't believe I'm about to tweet this.

"From tomorrow sex between two (or more) people in a private place who do not live in the same household is a 'gathering' between 2 or more people and is therefore illegal."

Afraid to say this is correct.

I can't believe I'm about to tweet this.

However, one lawyer pointed out a potential loophole with the legislation.

George Pertez QC tweeted that his reading of the law indicated that someone could potentially have sex with an escort in their home, as it might be deemed legal for work purposes.

He said it was "unacceptable" to publish the new legislation at just 14 hours' notice and that having no vote in Parliament on the amendment was "very likely unlawful".

As I read this, unless you live together, it's now unlawful to have sex with your lover indoors, but fine outdoors (subject to public decency offences); but you can have sex with an escort indoors, as that is reasonably necessary for their work purposes (see 7(d)(i)). Adam Wagner on Twitter

The amendments detail how lockdown has been eased, with people in England now allowed to meet up outside in groups of up to six.

The regulations define a gathering as "when two or more people are present together in the same place in order to engage in any form of social interaction with each other, or to undertake any other activity with each other".

The government's official guidelines for lockdown state: "Right now you are only allowed to gather outdoors with people you do not live with.

"Seeing people outside, rather than inside, while obeying the 'two metre rule', greatly reduces the risk of transmission.

"Close contact with people from other households means a much higher risk of transmission, and according to the scientific advice, we cannot safely allow people to see people they don't live with indoors without the risk that the virus will spread."

People cannot participate in a gathering indoors unless they are: attending a funeral; an elite athlete or coach of an elite athlete; facilitating a house move; meeting for necessary work purposes; providing care for a vulnerable person; providing emergency assistance or providing childcare.

I am weeping for people who can’t order a Human trafficked hooker legally to have sex. Weeping here, learn to masturbate, self love is a good thing.

There will probably be a baby boom after this is over... people who are couples, many decided to live at one home or the other.

My sister is Front lines, no desire to spend time with her. None at all.

In Canada you can not even have a funeral service and we are run by a left wing government, so be happy for the right wing government that allows A funeral service.

the left canadian government is allowing incoming flights, but not outgoing.. this has been in place since the beginning of this lock down since March. Who do you think is being brought in?

are you actually griping about the right allowing child care services, and assistance for the elderly?

Child care services in Canada are shut down.... again the left made this rule in Canada.

    Oh my gosh!

    that's pretty big.
so now no one can form a new sexual relationship unless they move in together first?
    people will do it, regardless.

    That's insane.

Well yeah I'd have less sympathy if it were only that.. But wouldn't this mean a newly dating couple can now not legally have sex in each other's houses?

well people on Long business trips or dating from different cities, even countries get on cam and masturbate together... it isn’t like self love ... or mutual masturbation isn’t satisfying. Get out those sex toys. It is BIG to not masturbate at this time. It isn’t like they are going to die without it. Is this really a concern at this time? That people can’t have sex? What is the percentage of the population unable to have sex?

if people decide to go over to their partners place for sex, there are not cops stopping people from doing so either, let me know when there is arrest for it.

People are dying unnecessarily due to the arrogance, ignorance and incompetence of the stupid bastards in the scumbag 'nasty party' and yet, they have time to fiddle with and amend existing regulations to ban sex with another adult other that the person they live with. Firstly, how stupid is that ??? and secondly who and how is it going to be monitored and by whom ???

no one is monitoring your sexual activities or lack of, whatever the case may be. Let me know when someone is arrested for having sex behind closed doors. Lol No where in that does it say you cant have sex with your partner or that your partner can not come over, or even just a friend with benefits,. Or that you aren’t allowed to have people over. They recommend no more than 6 gather and preferably outdoors. People who live together jog together, they don’t keep distances from one another inside or out, You are blowing things up, out of proportion, as usual vlad.

I normally support the governments efforts and excuse their false promises that result from lack of precise detailed medical knowledge.

But this is getting to the point where I am seriously thinking that some of them are loosing their marbles altogether.

When are people going to realize that the mutation of the virus is irreversible and the longer that we give it without building up immunity, the more people will die.
The whole concept of isolation is PURELY to prevent spikes that overwhelm the health services. Dropping deaths below the average level for pneumonia is nothing short of complete stupidity.

The more I discuss this, the worse that it becomes and the figures for deaths are becoming more suspicious every day.
Their are around 450 cancer deaths every day in the UK, so how many of the vast majority that end in pneumonia are being wrongly blamed on the virus.
AND THIS IS ONLY ONE EXAMPLE.!!!!!

Around 1,500 people die every day in the UK, but this average varies seasonally, peaking as high as 2,500 at certain times.
I am beginning to feel more and more that the scaremongering that was designed to protect lives by preventing a uncontrollable peak could seriously backfire.

When the 2020 total death figures are published in October 21, I imagine their will be a lot of red faces. I also predict a 3% increase, cancelling over following years.

    PS.
I wonder what reaction I will get from the government when I claim my £35,000 because "Wilsjane Brothel" is starting to loose money. :yum::yum::yum::yum::yum::yum:

no, it isn't like they're going to die without it.
but for most people it is a large component of developing a romantic relationship.
having legislation banning that seems a big deal to me.

but what you say is right, I don't think they can possibly enforce it anyway.

Oh, I have an idea--lets ban liquor and drugs. That'll surely work. Yeah--no more liquor and a war on drugs. You're welcome.

I am just wondering what all the poor Arabs are doing.
Every day at around 3,pm several of them flew into Heathrow for an overnight meeting held at one of the hotels near the airport and returned home on the first flight the following morning.
On top of the return first class fare, the escort fees were around £2,000 and the total hotel bill at one of the hotels was £17,000.

I responded to your post above, it was funny and was joking, it disappeared. I liked your post above :)

so the UK never stopped incoming flights either? Just like Canada? Now I understand why incoming flights were permitted this entire time but no outgoing ones.

You replied to the first of my posts above on a completely different thread, you are getting as absent minded as me.:yum::yum:

I posted about the Arabs, because their are no flights into the UK. I wonder how the girls will be able to claim for loss of earnings, since I doubt that they declare their income on their tax returns and likewise, the hotels do not advertise their business.
This business has been going on for decades and everyone turns a blind eye. No one is being harmed and it brings millions of pounds into the UK. I never cease to be amazed what goes on in this world.

yes, the Netherlands, while prostitution is legal it has turned a blind eye to the human trafficking there, and even throw it in your face. Now they are wanting to put it in a malll, so people can’t see it anymore, since the human trafficking in the Netherlands has come to light, lots of money in it for the government because they get to take their cut. Just like a pimp.

and yeah, I am getting old. Lol. Everything melds into one. Lol But I am loving every minute of it.

incoming international flights never stopped in Canada. This has come to light here. Shocking really.

Won't stop the Dutch from being condescending and self righteous, unfortunately. Although it probably should.

Are they condescending and self righteous? My experience with the people who live there has been anything but that. But then again I can think of one from there on this forum who comes across that way. Lol. my experience in that country, with the general public has not been. Perhaps the odd one here and there, I did experience one thing from a waitress there. It was clear she hated people from western world countries, and a chef too in a coffee shop, but she was condescending to the local people I was there with. Great chef, amazing food.

They have some strange laws, like it is not illegal to watch films involving animals and people, but it is illegal to make them in that country. Lol. Boggles the mind. I guess they import such films *shudder*. That makes my skin crawl.

they have some very good laws too though.

I’m not going to speak ill of Asmo but it's pretty obvious you have a decent amount of experience in the Netherlands. I've never been.
