Not all one hit wonders are bad. What is your favorite? This is one of mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_DVS_303kQ
there are a lot of 'one hit wonders' that technically aren't because the band changed their name after and people don't realize they were made by the same or nearly the same combination of people. there was a whole album, i had it on 8-track once upon a time, back in the day, by an outfit called zager and evans. in the year 2525 was the only cut off of it to get commercial airplay, so a lot of people probably think that's the only thing they ever did. but there were a couple of others on their i liked a lot. not sure what the name of them was anymore, but i remember part of the lyrics of each: "in my house i ain't got nothin' but a chair and a shelf, if you don't like that you can go somewhere else ..." "in my house i like to sit with the curtains all drawn, cause i ain't got no windows and i ain't got no lawn, in my house, but you can bring your own when you come down, to my house" and then the last cut was something about keeping my friends in my tupper ware in my frigidare (i wonder if that was inspired by dalmer or inspired him) "then thinking of when, i would thaw out my friends, i de ci ded nev er" this was mid or even early 70s ish.

It Was and it Wasn't But I fell in love with this song (and this woman ) once upon a time http://youtu.be/2rbr7EfL4Ug
There are quite a few of one hit wonders.....Some of my favorites are Bad Day by Powter, A 5th of Beethoven by Walter Murphy, Don't Give Up on Us Baby, by David Soul, which I played on the greatest love songs thread last night, The Night Chicago Died by paper Lace, Ring My Bell by Anita Ward, Winchester Cathedral by New Vaudeville band, Green Tambourine by Lemon Pipers, Brother Louie by Stories, Na Na Hey Kiss Him Good-bye by Steam, and the lead singer of Steam who is Gary De Carlo just died a few days ago at age 75....and this one....and I will play this one, as it came into my head last night and I just found out that this is a One hit Wonder by Paul Mauriat...Love Is Blue....many people sang this, though...always a favorite song of mine.....since when I was a child....I remember my mom used to listen to Me and Mrs. Jones a lot....good song, too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjsNNcsUNzE
