love all three. Had never heard 2525 by transfusion, cool. another; Two Hangmen- Mason Profit. Remember Beaker Street, Little Rock, Ark.
I don't really like that one at all, at least not compared to their debut (which is great) :2thumbsup:
You mean that particular performance? I chose it kinda randomly from YouTube. Here's the album version that I'm much more familiar with. This song was all over the radio during my senior year of high school (1970).
No, the whole song and the album it is from is in my opinion not as likeable as their debut album. Which in turn leads me to the opinion that Free is not a one hit wonder, since at least one of their albums without hits (i'm guessing) is far more entertaining (to me at least ) than their hit song or the album it was one.
Paul Kossoff's (guitarist in Free) Dad gave a talk on the evils of drugs at our school one time.(Kossoff got screwed on drugs.) Strangely the whole talk just made me more curious about drugs and wanting to try them...
You haven't heard Tons of sobs?? You are in for a treat (I hope)! Let us know if you dig it! I always regarded it as a classic as soon as I knew that album, contrary to their second album with I'm alright... which didn't do anything for me.
Having trouble finding it. There are two greatest hits albums with lots of songs, but none of them are named Tons of Sobs.
Just download it from a music blog then (they often have a rapidshare link), or a peer to peer program like Soulseek. That's how I check out my albums at first (if it isn't on youtube, but then I download it anyway to listen better and offline). I'm sure the majority of the songs are on youtube though! I can post 6,325 one hit wonders I love. Here's one at almost random, early psychedelia, 1966; THE COUNT FIVE-'PSYCHOTIC REACTION',(1966).wmv - YouTube "Psychotic Reaction", an acknowledged cornerstone of garage rock,%5B1%5D
Free were not one hit wonders These guys were as far as I know. "]Golden Earring - Radar Love - YouTube
Golden erring was at least a two hit wonder band. Radar Love reached #13 on the U.S charts in 1973 and Twilight Zone reached #1 in 1982. "]Twilight Zone with lyrics Golden Earring - YouTube Not to be nit picking. Both great songs.
