For the last 4 days I've been getting emails saying my delivery will arrive 29th November. Exciting. it is a fictional #24 car half Jeff Gordon and half Chase Elliot it will be the placement where my models transition from Jeff Gordon to Chase Elliot. Hard to come by and very lucky I got a pre-order.

New email this morning.

Shipment not expected to arrive today.

Man that pisses me off I mean why send four days of emails saying it's coming if it ain't coming?? Like I'm raged TBH. Waiting another month wouldn't kill me IF I didn't know it was nearby but once you know it's close... we'll it burns and burns when it's not here. :cuss:

 

I saw several of you talking about the site being slow...good grief

Tonight it was the slowest I've ever seen...almost as slow as dial-up!!! :yikes: I would X out the site because it wouldn't let me go anywhere except for the home page, and then come back over and over. Finally it "took".

No other site is slow like this either.

going to be a mild one here today....damp but mild

 

Just got home. I park in the back. Cat runs up to me.
I am a bit confused on how she got out...she can get to the crawlspace from the bathroom but I shut the bathroom door. She ate most of her food so she must have not been out for long.
Get to the livingroom and the TV was on and loud. I know I shut it off. And the front door is as far open as it can be. For all I know it was like that for 6 full days. Nothing seems to be missing I will check the valuables upstairs later. If there was ever a time that I'm glad that I live in a quiet neighborhood it is today.

 

I haven't notice the site being slow i don't think...

 

Know what's weird is if I try and use my normal wifi most sites say I am "forbidden" to view. Like error page. I get so offended. Forbidden. Lol. But when I used my proxy security IP thing, I can view anything. So I reset my wifi as in pulled the plug and walk away until I remembered and all my sites load again.

 

If That's A Quiet Neighborhood......I'd Hate To Know What A Bad One Would Be Like....???....

dipped into the mid 40s tonight... idk what to do with myself.. brrr

 

When I used to follow football it was the Bills and then the Chargers for a bit after Doug Flutie went over there. I pretty much just watched the NFL because of Doug Flutie haha.

I can't seem to enjoy it anymore. So many advertisements and I can't help but thinking about the issues with brain injuries and early-onset dementia.

 

seems every team has a dude with massive braidlocks coming out fro under his helmet.....looks stupid imo....that one dude and his shampoo commercial bothers me....

mild overcast and windy....I am mopping those dirty floors in anticipation of going to Toronto for an extended stay at my daughters to help with the kids.....I think she's going to brazil ahain

 

The other night when I watched 3 times in a row there was one play and a commercial. They were so excited to squeeze them in that each time they came back a split second before the ball was in play again. Like 10 seconds of air time then they were gone.

Well I am much impressed with myself on my pool table. From Sunday/Monday I felt so inadequate and off that I started to question everything I was doing and when you start to question your mechanics well, i feel like you get into a slum of having zero confidence in anything you try and do. You don't feel like you're cueing straight, you can see the spin of the cue ball that you aren't hitting it straight, nothing goes down and even the simplest of shots become missed.

So. The last two days I've taken a much slower attitude. Less time, more quality.

I'd read a few things about having the mind for pool and how very little the final stroke forward has to do with striking a great shot. It stated that the attitude must come well before you're even "down" on your shot. It's about the approach. To methodically perform the same routine over and over.

Basically, there's no point trying to line up a straight shot if you didn't approach the table straight to begin with. Now this is often a complaint of mine with my own table where you begin to get comfortable, frustrated and bored so the bad habits creep in and the next think you know, you're taking those habits out to competitions with you.

So I'm reinventing my approach to the table. I now get my cue and I make a rough line from the centre of the cue ball to the point of contact on my object ball. I do this with the length of the cue. That was, when I get "down" on my shot my alignment is already in the ball park and I have to only make minor adjustments. Then the slow drawback and oompf that suck on in there.

The results?

I'm very very happy with how I've been cueing these past two days. I don't spend all my time on one shot anymore, my hard straights I just periodically attempt them with good percentages. I think I'm about 14/19 attempts which is much better than my 50/50 getting irritated and impatient.

It's such a load off my mind though. I hate when your brain starts playing mind games and you lose confidence. so take that brain!!

 

I made fudge...it turned out ok I spose....I made old fashioned fudge so it is less creamy than store fudge...more chunky...

 

took advantage of probably the last decent day for atv ride

didnt see much just some beavers building up their winter food pile

 

Yeah, the forum is running slow for me now.

It's difficult to use.
