were in portland a few years back, parked next to some skate park under a bridge.....

decent square downtown as I can recall.

    forgot chesterfield...

if your interested in the tribe read a bit about the rulles and our concepts on communal living if your down with the ideals talk to some of the tribe and we'll see if we can get you on a bus

although myslef personally I am more involved with the canadian tribe right now, then the american counterparts.

tennessee jed (jason) heads up the the highway child huglife bus in the states and does ...or is supposed to be organising the online portion of contatcs with our other THC buses, THC Burning ( dereks bus) (THC 8 chevys bus my old one) or THC drunk **** ( johns bus)

tennessee jed has or had a thread up here but can be contacted via myspace myspace.com/huglife
    or
    ours

I've been following your adventures for a while, and it's torture thinking that you're actually living a life "on the road" that makes the Merry Pranksters and Kerouack seem square while dudes like me live in Babylonian captivity. Fess up. It can't be as idlyllic as you make it out. Does it ever get boring? Do you get on each other's nerves? Do you have problems with slackers? Body odor? Bad breath? Cops? Tell me something you regret about your nomadic lifestyle, so I can get a good night's sleep for a change.

Yeah I agree, never boring, can be frusterating at times, slackers bug me.

rarely cops bug us, but when they do its a huge hassel.

let me tell you man, it takes a lot of working in babylon to prepare to leave babylon,

its not the perfect way, but its the perfect way for me...I love this life!

as soon as we get organised, Im leaning toward may as a possible competion time.....honestly its up to the collective tribe to get things going any faster. Ive been putting 100 bucks a week toward the mechanics bill, actuallyt this week I just paid 50 so we owe 450? I think....

once that bill is paid its just a menner of finishing the interor and replacing a few small things..ie three feet of rusted brake lines, a gasket on the rear hub and some rust patches on the rear door.

once the bus is finished tribe can leave.......

I'm surprised you have a mechanics bill. I'd figure you'd have at least one back yard mechanic out of the bunch of you. Hell I can fix pretty much anything within reason, I can't believe for one minute I have such an uncommon talent.

    -Good luck with your travels

well for the most part I fix the buses, but in some cases I either dont have the equiptment or the time, or in this case the liscencing,
in ontario you need a certfied mechanic to sinspect your ride before you can get plates, the MTO here is reall strict and when operating a heavy duty bus your prone to be pulled over and there fore prone to get a much tighter inspection....

some times I can find fake safties, half the crap they tell you you need fixed will last for years....still mto rulles,

actually that bus is already retired, its sitting up in northern ontario in need of an engine, some of the tribe a few years back drove it without checking the oil for far too long in sub zero temperatures......

so there it sits, one day Ill go and throw another engine in it. Ive actually found a few the other day, 2 buses for 1000......bieng xmas and a crap load of other things Ill have to pass on that..

I painted it a few times before I was happy with it......
but actually now that I think about it, it didnt take much time at all, I think I was done most of the big stuff in a few hrs......
the other side has a large budda on it, painted with spray cans, that took a while, I didnt do that work though, just the hand brushing.

    ok
so I just got some good news...well I got it a few days ago then forgot...then remembered again!

jordan a past treasurer on the THC 8 has aquired another highway child bus,
its a 54 I think an old city bus. hes coming out of L.A so we might be able to arrange to pick up some alumni in the south west

now, there are some plans, ...ok some talk about getting some of the buses together in new orleans for mardigras.....

it would be cool to have a tribe meeting there with all the buses, I know its short notice and all, and as of right now nothing is in stone.

let me know if your interested and where you are ok!

jordans coming out of L.A so we might be able to arrange to pick up some alumni in the south west thc huglife is in MD as far as I know and I havnt heard frm the THC 8 since they were having some bus probs in colorado, derecks thc burning bus is mia as well and I dont know whats up with thc drunk **** either

im going to TRY to get the THC canada bus ready for then .......I also have to talk to the rest of the canadian tribe and see if its cool......so yeah canadian tribe email me your thoughts...

    peace
