And I got told 'i cannot reverse this i need my manager to come in' so i said thats fine and stood there lol and then they told me oh the manager is not in today.

I will be checking! Im exhausted we walked past city now to new hotel but room is not ready so might walk back to city for a drink or lunch.

Not that I'm homesick or anything lol. But this was a cosey place for lunch. I even got to pour my own litre stein. and the older owners enjoyed a conversation in Deutsch.

My sisters have run off shopping and we are at the hotel now. I just want to sleep but I doubt I will. Maybe if we darken the room. I was hoping there be a bath but only shower. I will make it nice and hot then go lay down.

I will keep an eye on the hotel refund. I have a feeling that I will be making a few more calls about it. What annoys me is that transaction is already on my travel card, and it basically has stripped half my allowance on the card already.

The hotel is about 10-15mins walk out from city central and not much around. Did manage a couple hrs rest. Sheets were a mess. =p

I found a channel to watch the race on too. it's on in a few hrs.

11 C here this morning... pretty cold for the first week of august.

today is a weird holiday... not statutory so most things are open. we are taking the opportunity to send our daughter to daycare so that we can get some chores done and start to set up the room for the new baby.

 

We walked to a pub for brisket but I am done now I am so full we walk back to hotel. Shower, bed, tv, digest.

Laura got in trouble tonight for ignoring me but it wasn't from me we were at the table and she bangs away on her phone replying to messages and a woman came over and said if Laura wasn't interested in having dinner with me then she would. Lol. It was funny but Laura is furious. She won't say anything but I can tell she is livid with that comment and embarrassed. Lol. I could see it eating at her.

Sometimes feels like we eat too fast like often we come out for dinner and the table next to us will be eating and we can sit down, get a drink, order, eat and leave before that table has even finished. It happens all the time lol.

Mind you I had to play phone too because I still have my admin role in iRacing. They had their first first race today with the rookies which appears to have been successful so we might start seeing 30+ truck fields.

 

take a paid time off day.. its rainy, so its a good day to stay home.

I eat fast at restaurants too.

 

That really is funny....that woman basically putting the move on you right in front of Laura, and managing to put her down. My goodness...no wonder Laura was mad but she obviously knows you weren't angry. lol That woman did have some nerve though, and it is funny...although I cannot imagine going up to a stranger and saying such as that. good grief! lol

Now for the news that I know everybody is dying to hear (especially Spaceman!)

The little crazy calico is ON THE PORCH as I type this...she appeared late yesterday, and was running to get on the porch before it got dark. lol

Princess is the nicest one to her, only because she ignores the kitten completely. I did think Gimli was "playing"...but I caught Gimli holding little Lassie down with his mouth on her throat! :yikes: I said NO GIMLI! Lets not kill the kitty...play with the kitty.... Big sweet Brownie Brown hissed at the kitten...I about fainted. I think its the 1st time I've seen Brownie hiss at anything. lol

The kitty ran away to her tunnels...

Now she is running around, exploring and seeming to try and avoid the others, except for Princess. I'm afraid Lassie is mistaking Princess's ignoring her as kindness..and I'm fairly certain Princess doesn't understand anything about kindness. lol

I tell you I am absolutely exhausted it feels like jet lag has set in now days after and we are like half way through our quick tour almost already. And I tell myself I am not eating ever again yet I wake up starvin' marvin'.

That's 3 trains since I started this.

It was heaps funny Lynn last night. It's usually me who's on my phone. =p
