On Changing Your Gender.

Some men want to change their gender and then give birth. I'm all onboard with that. But there are some interesting scientific facts to go with that.

I have no idea what gender is. But you know, it is hormonally programmed into your brain, in the uterus. I am not kidding. (Just Google Diethylstilbestrol (DES) to find out more.) Sex, I don't know. Our family physician was telling us in 1989 that they already knew how to alter DNA. Just inject a human with a retrovirus (though like Dolly the Sheep and cloning in 1997, no one has done it yet).

Uterus, I don't know. If they could get the male body not to reject it, they could do it now (but they can't do that at all with the pancreas, for some reason). Then, a man could be a surrogate.

And, I was telling a doctor in 1986, I read in a tabloid, if they could put DNA in an unfertilized ovum even, all they would have to do was irradiate it, to make it start growing.

Support research into transgendered medical causes. There's a lot less than you'd think.

 

Not to change the direction of this thread, but that seems like an awful lot of effort when so, so many children go unadopted, so, so many children are taken advantage of for their money and abused in various ways in foster care. The unwanted children are already there, without parents, damned to live shitty lives, while adults in various life circumstances try to use scientific resources to overcome whatever biological shortcomings they have in order to make a human life come to be, the novelty being they are of related genetic material. It seems like a counterproductive way to deal with two problems to me.

 

Going back to the original thread, I do support total gender transition and generally whatever else an individual has to do in order to feel whole. I accept gender is a matter of the brain and not necessarily the body. I eagerly anticipate the day medical technology is able to transition a person's gender on a genetic level, rather than just a physical/hormonal one. Hopefully the hard right asshole politicians will not stand in the way of that. And if genetically transitioned women start having babies, so be it.

 

Technology will make it possible some day for transgender people to fully acquire their true identity. As I've said, a doctor told me doctors will some day be able to alter people's DNA using a retrovirus. Then women will be able to father babies and men with be able to get pregnant. Pregnancies are dangerous and painful. Probably just combining your DNA with your partner would be better. Then having an artificial womb grow the baby will be the norm.

And some day men will be able to breastfeed. Actually they can now. Because men are born with fully-functional breasts. Not chests, breasts. Capable of producing milk. Actually newborn boys sometimes produce milk. This is called witch's milk.
