I just got done sending my grandma back east some horehound candies which is an old candy that you can only get online these days. But they are also a medicine that they used back in the old days..they would melt these candies and make cough syrup..very simple and soothing..go in the grocery now and there are a million remedies..do you know of any old time remidies passed down from the generations? please share
My grandfather said that they used to pour extremely hot oil down his ears whenever he had an ear ache. But his hearing has always been terrible, so...
horehound herbal candies were easy to get here...dirt cheap at the bulk barn but last time i wanted some they said they discontinued them//
cause they want you to buy some $5 dollar cough syrup..they push out shit that works so big business can get their products in at a higher price
they dont sell cough syrup they probably just changed suppliers and the new ones dont carry that brand
That is the same kind I got for grandma but got her the 2lb bag this time..with shipping, right around $13
you should have went for the 5lb one only 15$ or look on ebay they have tinctures and tea they even have seeds so you can grow your own
Oil not good all the time.. but its ok once in a while.. weekly hydrogen peroxide in the ears, will prevent many ear and throat ailments.. :2thumbsup: I get Whorehounds all the time, craft store in the only one that sells them here..
i started using peroxide last year...i ended up with burned (i think) ear canals ..they started bleeding bad one night so i stopped ive been using q-tips to put baby oil in every few days and they feel back to normal again
