I was just in an elevator with an old lady who seemed to be wearing a whole bottle of perfume.. sooo strong and overwhelming, I held my breath Is there any worse smell than old lady perfume? :ack2:
It's nothing against old people. I guess it's me, I'm very sensitive to smells. I don't even like perfumes/colognes that "Young" people wear. It irritates my nose and my senses. also, a little perfume goes a long way... but some people seem to use wayy too much
and why does it seem a lot of older women wear a certain scent though? musky? I don't know what it is... I think they would be better off wearing some of the scents marketed to younger people...they're more pleasant atleast.
I hope this isn't coming off as me hating on old people. I'm honestly curious what compels them to use so much perfume. I guess the senses change with age? so maybe they're not aware they're wearing so much..
Hello, jepp, that's my guess, too. And one gets used to a fragrance and that leads to higher dose. But that is usually a much faster process. Regards Gyro
I was about to mention how I can't stand old spice, lol.... I've been on dates with guys that wear it, so gross... If they end up hugging me then I end up smelling like old spice and it grosses me out and I have to shower and change my clothes to get the scent off...most deodorants bother me too.
Hello, hmm, recently I thought about flushing all that French stuff down the toilet and buy a magnum bottle of Old Spice. Na, just kidding . Regards Gyro
Hello, I still have a small flacon of Aramis somewhere. That stuff is so americano and so intense that I don't have enough opportunities to wear it . Regards Gyro
My former mother-in-law used to drown herself in that stuff. Everything she touched smelled of it. Once she gave us some steaks out of her freezer and after I'd cooked them, they still smelled like her perfume.
would you prefer old ladies body odor? better they were something than not at all. As well, as we age our senses diminish. My mum has the same problem and she wears really nice perfumes, like Estee Lauder and such. (So do I) But I have to tell her that I can smell it and just gently remind her to ease back a little
my spell check confuses me. I write Aussie/British English and it constantly throws up a red line Lol.... ODOUR!!!!!!!!!!!
yes..Rainbow gathering, and I liked the way they smelled/their smell didn't bother me. Guess I prefer au natural.
