Do I hang onto the old or grab onto the new Where a time we looked out for one another Or go with the flow like most others do I still see the hippies today from yesteryear Still fighting the good fight and make their point clear I see older gentlemen with good hearts They still have the spirit in them which sets them apart I am at that point living in two worlds what do I do I have one foot in the old and one in the new We need them old hippies today To help us new to show us the way The way heading into the new age To guide us through with love instead of rage

You will find many of us hanging on in these uncertain times as we try to make sense of "the new normal." (What ever that is!!!) Of course, like anywhere else we have a mix of different peoples with different attitudes and lifestyles. What sets up apart from the rest is a tolerance for those ideals and thoughts. I haven't found other sites to be this way. Yes, we hang onto the 'old' but must embrace the 'new' - simply to exist in peace by understanding the ways of youngsters.
