drumminmama, why are you in colorado, some 1800 miles away, adn not down the block at the cafe where I can meet you to talk about music and tea and windmill farms?
hmm old and in the way.. my dad showed me the album with the cartoon on the cover and i was really into it for a while. admittedly, i havent listened to it in a while......... until now! i just put on Panama Red and im lovinn it
I love this album, I only wish there was some recorded shows from the band. If anyone knows of any please, PLEASE let me know. This album inspired me to learn mandolyn.
I had to sell my ticket for that one, too. I did meet Vassar for a few moments outside Quixote's. an amazing presence and kind man. He was helping a new fiddler with advice.
i have to agree vassar seemed to be just an unbelievably kind man...bumped into him a couple of times after shows and i was just amazed at his enthusiasm and generousity in giving time and advice to his fans. on stage he was just smooth as silk, and you could see in his eyes how much he loved playing, and how much he appreciated and respected the musicians he shared the stage with...he was truely one of the great ones
