You can't really expect anyone to respect you when you compare human suffering to a crab suffering....

Are you a member of PETA? You seem to employ their sort of attention seeking irrationality in support of things that would eat YOU if you where a bit smaller, without even being "conscious" of the fact that they're eating you.

There are non-vertebrates that are a shame to kill, and do have a consciousness on a level with us, like octopi. But not fucking crabs. Pick your battles, or you just keep people from taking the (more important) words of people who are much smarter than you seriously, and thus cause much more animal/human suffering than you help.

*edit* duck, they arn't going to be trying to move, they're chilled into a stupor anyway. My point isn't that this is the best possible outcome for the crabs (or people eating things out of chinas presumably highly toxic seas) but there are SUCH more important things to worry about, that being any sort of activist or anything about this would LITERALLY make you a bad person, for caring more about 200 crabs a day than the worlds ACTUAL PROBLEMS.

yeah, what duck said. those crabs literally are not suffering.
If crabs cannot be cleaned and cooked immediately before consumption they are generally frozen while alive; do you find this to be cruel as well?

I don't agree with handing out crabs in vending machines. I think its a bit ridiculous. But I don't think it falls under the category of animal abuse.
