Every loctician around me is far out of my way so instead I go to African hair braiding salon where I get my hair dreaded and retwisted. I'm having doubts because right now my hair is very hard and I can't tell if she knows what she's doing or not. This is my first retwist. Here's some pictures from beginning to today..

I really don't know much about dreads except that my daughter's boyfriend was upset when someone put wax in his at a salon. I don't think you want them to use wax.

dont go to a salon. those places WILL ruin your hair. just throw out your comb, keep em clean, and seperate them. let them flow and they will be amazing

Your hair is pretty short tbh, my looked nothing like them when they first started. But i agree with the people above. Don't go to salons, ether get someone to section them or just take the journey on your own and let them do there thing. I just sectioned them and did the neglect method. My dreads are only over a year though so i can't really preach to much haha.
