Scouting for a national gathering site should be underway now : NewMexico/Arizona .
There's a Facebook Rainbow page that can be referenced .

I hear that hesitation... I'd love to travel the old paths another time while I can still hobble about.

Hope you get to be out and about soon, and safely!

After 14 months of Zoom, our little Buddhist meditation group is re-starting in-person practice again.

The group consensus has been simply to sit two rounds of 20 minutes each; there's no room for kinhin, so we do a little qi gong between sits. I was taught primarily the 'Heart of Perfect Wisdom' (Prajna Paramita Hrdaya) and the 'Ten Verse Kannon Sutra'; both in English, using the translations of Rochester Zen Center (I trained at one of their satellites). We'd often recite Hakuin's 'Song in Praise of Zazen', too.

The only group I would sit with would chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo... Zen Buddhists.

Yes; the Daimoku; in praise to the Lotus Sutra. I once did an in-depth course on the Lotus Sutra with a teacher of a sect that particularly reveres it.

  16. Thanks man. Have had two vax but still don't feel the need to go to a crowded airport or share a large tin can with many people for a lot of hours.

  17. Went to a small lebanese restaurant last weekend and a gallery. Masks obviously, except when at table. I was not comfortable but what really scared me was the amount of people going about their business in the city with no social distancing and no masks. Scary stuff. I did enjoy the afternoon out with my daughter but I realy wasn't that comfortable.

Agott, is a name that local Missouri family slung together back in 2004. Is a local emulation of natls.
