i dont think its a matter of whether they sites of the removed teeth are covered or not, i think it has a lot more to do with the way the muscles in the mouth work when performing a sucking motion of any sort....not only am i not supposed to smoke, i'm not supposed to drink through straws...not even water. hell, i'm not even supposed to have anything fizzy like beer or soda in my mouth, with the exception of rinsing with hydrogen peroxide followed with warm salt water.

a lot of it has to do that the gums are sewn up in self-dissolving stitches, and this stuff could tear them up and lead to dry socket. i can only imagine what bubblegum would do to them!

nah, if i'm gonna smoke, its gotta be through the nose. the info sheet the nurse gave me says its not recommended to smoke or to drink through straws for at least 48 hours, but i think i want to get through tomorrow, too, at least, before i smoke with my mouth.

i just got up and haven't taken any painkillers since last night. its hurts, thats for certain, but its tolerable. doesnt hurt nearly as bad as it did yesterday. i still may take a pill or two today because it IS pretty achy, but i wont need to take 5 or 6 like i did yesterday. i think i'll be able to save some for later pretty easily, actually

well i picked up an eighth for 45, and its pretty decent. i took a couple shotguns through ye olde nasal passages, and it still didnt feel quite right for my mouth but i did catch a quick buzz. now instead of risking it, i'm instead risking my money....cooking experiment. i'm simmering some whole milk and butter on real low heat for a few minutes with almost a gram of goodness in it....i'll mix it in some mashed potatoes and i'm sure i'll be able to get it down easily enough. hopefully it will be enough for a good time. maybe i should add just one more little bud, though....

 

hey, these potatoes are actually pretty good...a little garlic flavor, and the marijuana just tastes like green veggies pretty much...almost like little bits off the top of some fresh broccoli mixed in....i didnt get it quite powdered, so there are a few little chunks, but they simmered in the whole milk and butter for a few minutes, and they're small chunks....so i think it will be fine.

lets hope i used enough....luckily i have a relatively low tolerance as it is, and havent smoked since sunday, and before that it had been like a week...i estimate i used up about a gram, maybe a little less...and its decent stuff....so hopefully i'll at least get a little buzz

 

hey, its starting to become apparent....it definitely is working. HOW stoned i'll end up in the end is still in question...i know it gets stronger after a bit from past experience...i think i'm in for a pleasant afternoon, though

well, i'm not smoking through my nose again today. the shotguns were a-ok, particularly cause i'd taken half a vicodin earlier (a mere 2.5mg of hydrocodone) which isnt much, but opiates are incredible cough suppressants....it actually was pretty pleasant getting shotguns through my nose, even if it was wierd. a good buddy will always help you out, even if it means doing something silly

but when i came back, i didnt stop at my apartment, i just came back to my parents' house, where the ice cream and pudding and jello and pureed homemade chicken soup and mashed potatoes all are, along with my meds and cable tv and internet and a soft bed.....so i didnt have a pipe or lighter. my folks smoke on rare occasion and i know where they keep their stash, and there are two long metal one hitters...the covert cigarette looking ones....i didnt touch their pot, but i got out the one hitter to use, but to my dismay could find a lighter nowhere in the house. eventually i found a large kitchen match in a junk drawer, and some tea candles. there was only the match, not a box, and it wasn't a strike anywhere match! so i turned on the range to high, and lit the match off that and lit the candle with the match....i took the first hit with the match (it was tough since i had only two hands and had to hold the match, hold the one hitter, and hold my other nostril shut!) and it burned like holy hell...then i tried off the candle which wasn't AS bad, but still nasty.....no mas, i say.

this pot food should be enough. i'll save the rest of what i got for when i can smoke again! hell, i'll go home tomorrow, though, and i can take a gravity bong i'm sure, even if i dont feel up to smoking a normal pipe.

 

smoking through the nose is every bit as effective as through the mouth, its just a lot more uncomfortable (unless its a shotgun or french inhale, in which the smoke gets time to cool off and lose some of the harshness)

in fact i suspect it may be more effective. unfortunately when i took the shotguns, they were shotguns off a bowl rather than a joint or blunt. so someone inhaled them very briefly before i did, so i got less out of it than if it had been from a blunt or something. and then i only hit a one-hitter twice through the nose....it worked well, it just hurt is all.

man, i built a miniature gravity bong with a beer mug full of water, a small plastic water bottle with the bottom cut off with a hole in the cap with a one hitter shoved in. lit a tea candle and off of that lit toothpicks for matches with less harshness than a giant kitchen match....hitting the gravity bong through the nose was easy, and i took three good rips off of it, plust i'm stoned from the mashed potatoes, and i did take a small amount of painkillers.

all in all...i'm feeling pretty mellow....and my dog snoring behind me as i type isn't helping me get any more alert! lol

anyways, mission accomplished....only the slightest discomfort in my mouth, and mentally i just really dont care and can ignore it. but typing is becoming laborious, and i may just go stretch out on the couch and watch some tv and pet the dogs for a while. maybe take a nap, even probably not though.
