repost from elsewhere, from a landing somewhere

"...well you tell me then..." replied the goblin, adding "...in that, I am replying to posters on a this thread here, which most would agree seems sensible enough, whereas they're replying to a questionably mad goblin for all their sanity, which is um..., ..."

repost from elsewhere, the trolls again

the goblin sympathized with xxxxx deeply, and then put up a little notice here thinking it might here, reading wanted, about anyone who can actually read now

"...same boat for us all, only that to some of us it just seems more evident, that's all..." mentioned the goblin adding "...and besides, doesn't the truth always remain that no one has any more life than anyone else, so be selfish, don't post without reason, nor merely for externals here, no, one's posts are like steps on a journey to self where there is no choice nor scope for regret about it, only onwards now, where however long remaining to one it was never enough time to begin with was it...", in fact, the goblin often wrote on the lupusbot site because they just seemed more real to him, so the goblin fell back upon that line he loved so much the angel is not there to be nice, she is there to show you to yourself though her reflection

repost from elsewhere, saying goodbye to someone leaving because of the ill that had been meted out to him by the other writers there

in fact, the goblin knew by this that he had crossed paths with yet another angel, not that that was any big deal though, where many creatures, angels and demons alike, pretended to be humans in their dailylife only to reveal their true nature here on forumland, and where the angels were not always the nice ones either, simply good or bad they were just there to help one shine in their reflection so to speak, "...so you turned out to be one of those good meaning angels then..." the goblin ventured, then adding "...so what reflection will I note from our chance meeting here and this parting now...", and yes angels who, somewhat unlike those humans who were soon forgotten, always seemed to impart something unforgettable in their wake, adding "...have fortitude my friend, and keep in touch if you can, yet either way I'll remember you as the only one amongst all of them who befriended me here, where ever the action is the reward in itself is it not..."

"...ah but that's the fun of forumland with more sites than stars in the night's sky..." mentioned the goblin now, continuing "...simply one posts for oneself always, hoping that one is on the same wavelength as the others around one, but everyone has something that they won't compromise, and mine is this sincerity to what I do, and where life is just too short to fake it anyway...", in fact, the goblin never tagged threads, no each post had to merit its posting to him, where each text within that post had to meet his own benchmark of self here, and where each picture had to dress well its text now, and that each forum/venue had to inspire one to create posts upon it too, and then the goblin laughed at himself saying "...oh how I fail when I even try, perhaps I fail in other people's eyes anyway, but I'll never stop trying for myself at least, for none of us are what we have written for who would like to think of themselves in that past tense then, no the difference between anonymous peter pan who never stops and a known wendy who is crushed by those externals again..."

"...ah good, yet another hopeful moddy then..." went the goblin now, adding "...where I love "last post" threads for the chance to post anything and win by it, not that I will ever post just anything to it though, no, because it's all a reflection of self where the effort one puts into the posts is the reward one gets out of them too...", somehow the goblin's revving coffee-fueled mind always seemed just that bit more imaginatively when faced by a greedy little slot like this, concluding "...ah no, one should never ever be what one has written, like some dead zombie today then, as one's posting mustn't have a past tense to it, besides, I feel more alive and aware while I am still creating posts each day...", so the goblin's autopsy would probably read "death by posting abuse" exactly as he would have wished for himself too

"...actually no, if one cares to read her post, isn't it a call for encouragement, and what encourages better than their suddenly noticing that one can write directly within one's own posts without any of your formal writer's preconditions here, something that can then be tailored to anything else again, because it's just oneself and this forumland here today, where those main authors are dumping their publishers for direct publishing with amazon selling more ebook readers than physical books, moreover, for someone to stumble across anyone's published works just millions more readers will turn up on this forumland to be authors/readers in their own right, in short, far more people browse forumland at this point than either those blogs or books...", the goblin let it sink in, and then continued “...but surely you know this already by now, but where we differ is that I am anonymously writing for myself here, another livewriter if you like, typically feeding to be feed, I feed the slot and on it goes then, whereas you, as some set writer I imagine, are probably thinking more writing as in “churning out books is lick those publisher's boots, chasing fame and fortune, using the same of cobweb and mothballs process”, yet on forumland the hitcount pure and simply is one's actual readership, so, whereas today I already have threads with 130,000hits, many with 50000hits too, you presume to lecture me about what is helpful about writing here for you're having no forum readership whatsoever, the discrepancy between us then, that of your dwindling book sales against the growth of short interactive content, you see, writing actually has a much wider scope than your mere bookwriting today, and no, I for one don't wish to follow you down yesterday's published path of stifling conformity, of groveling to publishers, and of evident diminishing returns too, as my readers here are already reading my posts with an evident hitcount to prove it too, so please take forum readership more seriously in future...", whereupon the goblin went back to editing his posts for the real readership again, I mean someone had to write here if most writers were like doing ebooks of yersterways by yestermeans

repost from else, the lupubot's "last post" thread

"...come give me your courage once more lupusqueen..." replied the goblin returning from yet another brawl on a writer's forum, saying "...oh it's my troll-like tendencies I suppose, but back I go each time too, honestly they're like so many bumper-stickers reading well, my other car is a ferrari for I am all books elsewhere, just imagine being PMed with "hello, do please post like everyone else does", followed by repeated accusations of spamming, roleplaying, attention seeking, etc., where that final "ban" awaits one anyway, and besides by now how many times too, no thanks that's just not me, let them write like each other if they so wish to...”, the goblin laughed at it almost as much as he laughed at himself for caring about it too, continuing "...but, I'll take you up on your offer of lodgings on this prestigious lupus forum of yours, ok, so maybe neither of us can really win our games forever, but that was our lots then, our challenges then, but as long as you refuse to give in to your circumstances, then what right have I to cave in to their dumb expectations of me, so perhaps this forumland becomes our testing grounds for our really being ourselves upon it, say what, let's conquer this forumland together through our post alone, yes we'll keep each other company and battle side by side now..”

what stuck in the goblin's mind was that the soldiers should not be made into scapegoats upon their return where it seemed obvious that america can't afford all this ongoing expense here, and where, under obama things haven't been wound down, no, commitment to the two theatres if anything is still very much there, where those motivations too, for fighting terrorism abroad seem so unconvincing, explaining "...first off, iran's religion is radical shia muslim , where surrounding it is there rivals the sunni muslim, save for the middle part of iraq where distrust between them both is deep and goes back for centuries now, simply iran's sphere of influence is what then..." continuing "...moreover, america is the besieger where the cost of this besiegement is unsustainable, especially where iran can waits it out, moreover again, the money used to fight terrorism abroad drains the kitty form that sorely needed money to fight america's economic decline at home today where no doubt this downturn in the social/economic/political situation of today's america is fast becoming a breeding ground not of any islamic style terrorism but for every other type of unrest instead..." whereupon the goblin went back to his first point, saying "...probably these returning young soldiers from this warzone will cause, and suffer too, those same problems within american society that the returning nam veterans did, not least because the american people, who having been sold yet another "impossible pipe dream" by their government, are likely to hold the military accountable for what is to all accounts today a lost war, where the demobbed soldiers are an all too easy albeit unfair target, because these soldiers, like their vietnam counterparts before, simply followed their own government's orders then, a distant government who will no doubt distance themselves once more with indifference, where yes, shouldn't the government be taking the rap for those short sighted policies or the war hawks of the whitehouse, yet instead what worries me most is that those soldiers will be taking the blame for the government..."

repost from elsewhere, the subject of feeding, replying to a vampire persona

"...I suppose the feeding part of this thread is that then, just a circle of feed between us, where some posts one blandly reads while others actually kick one into replying back, a circle of you feed me a post I feed this slot in return and around it goes once more..." ventured the goblin liking the vampire's posts indeed, then explaining "...yes, it's fun writing in third person, just as it is fun to be anonymous too, fun to match posts with pictures then, all fun indeed, but these are only indigences on my part, no, what really sets the livewriter apart from a normal poster is in that practice of reposting posts across forums, that hewing of the posts in their reposting...", in fact, no two livewriters were alike, many wrote in first person now, while others were not anonymous at all, still others didn't post pictures now, but one still knew that they were livewriters as such for simply one latched in their writings while noticing the resulting hitcount

"...unintentional, but what is the point in compromising to you where one is anonymous and where this forumland is vast beyond one's comprehension even..." replied the goblin who would never ever return to that just a few words with a smiley like that poster whom he had been once, saying "...put it this way then, yes I could change my username and post here, yet you would still know it is me for the traits of my persona, likewise if I could cave in and post in that conformist writing style you're suggesting there, yet then I would then need a username back because I would be no more recognizable than some face in the forum crowd, so no then, I can understand that it narks people when I don't buy into their tedious conformity of just write the first thing that comes into one's head, post it as plainly as possible, and then move on to the next thread please, but no, just tell me why I should be so invisible to myself here, why must I write like everyone else does when surely posting is writing where writing is ever a journey to self, so no, I don't want to be yet another face in the crowd here, I mean doesn't this forum have enough to them already..."

"...yes but where's the choice here, since america can ill afford to stay there indefinitely, so the longer it lingers the easier it is for iran or for others then, as those bombs that further fervor unrest are neither difficult to make nor expensive to sponsor..." mentioned the goblin, adding a proviso "...but for iran too, iraq is clearly a "can of worms", where it might gain control over the shia area alone, but would the sunnis or the kurds warm to them I wonder, where on the alfghanistan side too, they once massed their troops against the taliban in a warning before but backed down knowing that the place was quite ungovernable..." continuing "...whereas america, for its part, can't deliver within either of these theaters now, it can only further place itself in the firing line, where this evident crippling daily cost of distant military engagement, in view of the fact that one in ten americans on foodstamps, and one in ten dollars services its debt here, and worse, where the specter of longterm demoralization of its troops, ignominious final pullouts, and general resentment, all adds up to a scenario america can ill afford to endure here...", simply it was as if the lion could no longer defend his prey now, so the hyenas, jackals, and vultures waited their turn for him to move on back to its main job of defending his pride form the other lions now

    on heckling then

“...look at this way then..." started the goblin now, continuing "...yes, someone else's posts might be good, bad, or whatever, yes but that doesn't really concern one though, in that, forgetting others while just keeping at it over time both improves one's ability and rewards one with the works that one then amasses of oneself by it, not to mention how the forum gains too, whereas someone, looking on just heckling away for some reason, might get better at heckling by it, yes, but of the two, wouldn't anyone prefer be the one who improves as the instigator of their own works rather than being that heckler who always has to depend on others to heckle upon..."

"...ah yes, perhaps eventuality, regardless of whatever that goal might be too, it turns out as "invisible in dailylife, anonymous on the internet"..." joked the goblin of himself, but continuing it all the same as his journey to self so to speak, saying "...for where there's no motive to it then surely whatever one does within that context, and regardless of what results too, is at least honest to oneself, so self-honestly has to be one of my goals here where my other, that of anonymous recognition, is both obtainable with pointless effort and tangible even if nothing exist by it, it's not reality...", where both the goblin's writing, and his illustrating too, had clearly improved by this practice that had no external motive to it, for he would remain at it to his last, in a production of anonymous posts then, concluding "...so perhaps I just want to improve my anonymity here, becoming a more realistic nonentity perhaps, till finally I might even become that ultimate known unknown too, but that was just me by it I suppose..."

"...then I shall let you live mortals, and together we shall conquer forumland in posts a plenty..." replied the goblin now, adding "...besides, it's not in my interest to fight people here, as that would just turn me into a troll where my posts would then go unnoticed, no, surely if one is serious about forumland, then the goal has to be "to live out one's persona through one's posts", so pick a persona mortals, become known on forumland by it, where if your persona merits it, it will outlive its author even, so now do you see my goal here I wonder..."

“...listen, why not just stop trying goblin, just let go now, as there's really no one to please here, nor anything to prove either...” came the reasoning voice from the back of the goblin's mind again, continuing “...your trouble goblin, is that you keep thinking that you're the real person on this forum, where simply you're just a anonymous persona, so you compromise each time thinking that it actually makes a blind bit of difference, where deep down you know too, don't you goblin, that in the end, your very last post will only leave off exactly where your first post began, in utter anonymity here, so a fool tries hard to compete and just fails for his caring, burning with envy at those other competing fools then, not seeing that he is actually alone facing a vast sea of forumland in its many guises..."

"...yes sorry, I guess goblins are not to be trusted where those pictures are concerned..." replied the goblin who never laid claim to anything anyway, only that they underlined his anonymous posts, adding "...I don't exist but that proves all the more the usefulness of my anonymity then, so let them chase me across forumland if they like where there are probably more forum abound than stars in the night's sky...", though that was the goblin for you, simply he wore the specifications of each forum in turn, like when in rome do as the romans do, saying "...ah yes, I mean if I didn't adhere to the specs of the site, then all forums would just be the same and I would just be a troll by it..." and yet, for all his adherence, all that actually mattered to him was his journey to self in posts here, why, because the journey was all that remained, repeating "...wherever, whenever, and however far too, it's ever just oneself upon forumland somewhere , but one is not beholden to forumland, simply one's persona grows with the practice of posting, yes indeed, but one can't grow if one is either insensitive like a troll or over-compromising like a fool, the journey is not twice I mean..."

repost from elsewhere, the subject of king of the molehill on writer's forums

"...I suspect that how I put up with all that abuse and sillyness upon those writer's forums, which just becomes another type of food for me anyway, is by both being anonymous and by keeping it all in a very long term perspective, where those badges of self acclaim that sit next to their links to books or blogs in signatures, their airs, or their care to point out one's grammatical faults, or legal ones, or any other type of fault for that matter, or some collective cold shoulder even, just highlights their insecurity, ingenerosity and shortsightedness towards a gift horse, where any real writer wouldn't need to try so hard to justify themselves, no simply their posts would be their ambassadors instead, so let them wear the crown of king of the molehill king of so little if they so wish, yet they debase themselves in debasing me for I am mere words on your screen, another poster like anyone else here, just me by my post though..."

"...total agreement, I loved that post there..." remarked the goblin, amazed at seeing how the angel had welded her pen like some practiced sword, now wishing to offer something in return then, so he thought hard for a second and just said "...yes, writing certainly has its therapeutic value too, along with offering one its opportunity to iron out one's thoughts too, where thinking alone never seems to force one into concluding anything by it, so perhaps writing works as this forced focus perhaps, where thoughts and feelings are carefully quantified and exacted by it ...", and yet the goblin in his anonymous selfishness was more intent on creating his persona still than caring for his previous creations, saying "...simply those creations act as benchmarks to go upon on this ongoing process here, for if I were to lose all my posts to date at this point, of course I would be sad at their loss, sad indeed, but not nearly as sad as if I had lost that ability to create them, for that then would be the end of one's persona however good or bad those posts might have been...", thus was this ongoing process of writing out still, and not its byproduct of the posts themselves, that motivated the goblin ever onwards where naah one is not what one has written humans seemed to sum up his mindset agian

"...ah yes, simply dailylife is more difficult to deal with because one is ever in clear view of others there..." replied the goblin thinking upon his persona again, continuing "...whereas upon forumland here one just has to act the part now, for no one will know otherwise...", so the goblin never changed then, it was as if each tie to his dailylife had slowly been curtailed in a promise to his wife to protect his family from prying eyes, which had in fact freed him too, saying "...an internetself, or more simply one's "persona" here, is an interesting concept now, it's eternal youth in some ways...", not that the goblin cared to portray himself as some "young adonis" at this point, yet neither did he want his dailylife to dictate his virtual reality to him, continuing "...observe, my sunday morning too, and I am up a six to catch up with my inbox once more, oddly if this had been any dailylife activity, it would have worn me thin and killed me off by now, but I feel so alive, like driving in an open back car across some hot arizona desert listening to a medley of old radio tunes, so now, care for a spin then xxxx I'll take you anywhere you wish to go now, for it's all forumland to the horizon..."
