repost from elsewhere, to another livewriter upon her being banned somewhere

"...congrats, for now you can turn up at our forum and claim your rightful place amongst us as "banned for non conformity", and what a wonderful reason for being banned too, where now you only need to show them what they missed out upon by giving it your all on some other more progressive forum, where I wouldn't be backing you up like this if I thought otherwise..." smiling the goblin who felt that those narrow minded forums would be somewhat hard put to keep livewriting out forever, so the goblin just explained "...they're fighting a losing battle in my view, yes anybody could turn into a livewriter at any moment, and what paranoia it is too, where someone who polishes their posts tends to repost them becoming a livewriter by that practice then, and besides, it is hard to rub shoulders with us livewriters without having some of our influence rub off upon one, where, what with adding pictures, run on sentences, anonymity, reposts, third-person and the like, well now how are they ever going to tell us apart form writertypes and normal posters, where all this is merely an influence and where writing styles invariably evolve anyway...", oh yes, the goblin was never malicious, so those bans were just the price of one's individuality he felt, but at least he wasn't following the crowd now, not like they still were, smiling "...conformity is never remembered, you weren't malicious, we'll prove them wrong yet..."

actually the goblin wondered if anything humans did from the scale of the cosmos made the slightest bit of difference at all, saying "...religion always bolsters man's self importance, where science demotes him...", in the end the goblin just felt the truth only depended on which end of the telescope one looks at it from, saying "...perhaps then, I'm an all important insignificance after all..."

the goblin too, often saw his memories like recurrent ghosts now, just everyday articles as containing associations, saying "...well yes by nature I'm highly subjective towards my dailylife here, for example, there's the spirit of a place, or an association of an object, both are as ghosts to me, something one experiences from it , oh yes, it's very real to me and very just like there each time, same thing when matching texts to pictures, where amongst the umpteen, one picture seems to jump out saying "me me me" here...", whereupon the goblin thought upon an example where, when passing through the graveyard in the village on his last visit to england after the loss of his mother, he suddenly felt like looking at his ancestor's grave, something he hadn't done before, nor knew why, nor even which gravestone neither, where, after many minutes of going though row after row of tombstones in the growing graveyard darkness much like sifting through those pictures again, he finally came across a stone simply reading his ancestor's name, whereupon the goblin just looked at it a long moment knowing that there was really nothing to say nor anything to communicate within that silence then, just that the goblin was placing a picture in his mind to the event, as if matching it to himself before turning back to the living and dailylife once more

repost from elsewhere, written a short while after the event

"...ah no, my mother's mind had died some time back, so it was only her physical shell that had followed her here.." replied the goblin, remembering how her bedridden mindless yet living frail body, with its unhealed hip-wound too, had been someone dear to him once, but no, her death had simply ended the farce of it all, a sense of release and completion in the mercy of it, and in its wake an image perhaps, of one more defiant standing stone, like the last one of a line had joined its brothers and sisters in long row of stone set in its place by all this final event then, "...so stand well mum.." the goblin simply spoke into the scene now, adding "...but sleep too, for I won't dwell upon this past until its my turn to do so..."

    repost from elsewhere

"...well now the you've asked, I'll confess that the pictures come from a pile, one created usually from google searches mostly done when one has grown too tied to write or edit anything, done in one's relaxed moment then, where one in types a related word to the searchbox and then looks through the resulting pictures till one of those pictures just seems to be in tune with something one has written, where one either adds it directly to the text or more likely stores it for later then..." mentioned the goblin who stored everything on a usb key, thus most livewriters in their reposting posts seemed more like painters than writers, as in someone who had a eye for what they did, continuing "...at first one's illustrations might be weak, or seem quite unrelated, or it might be one's texts that don't amount to the picture, but after a while it all comes together and one gets both the writer's way with words, and the illustrator's eye by this, where simply texts will conjure up their images, and pictures too will speak their meaning...", and almost embarrassingly that was all that it actually was, all that is was indeed, but still in essence a work meriting a reply or two from the reader if worth it, confiding "...well then, perhaps I'm just a writer who paints individual pieces within a performance here, in other words I'm a persona by what I do..."

("...I will be more here now..." mentioned the goblin who had been writing alot but needed to do the editing too, adding "...the pace of this thread is going to jump now promise...")

in fact, the goblin couldn't really tell what other people saw in their escapes then, but clearly dissatisfaction in the present was the key to how society perpetuated itself, and where those escapes had to be either temporary, or had to turn into dissatisfaction once obtained, thus either way returning one to one's need to escape anew or to a higher level escape then, thus life just seemed to be ever this oscillation between the two states of one's "dissatisfaction" and one's "temporary gratification" each time, whereupon the goblin shrugged, saying "...ok, so knowing that it's this oscillation doesn't mean one can really step out of its clutches, instead it just means that one becomes aware enough not to entirely lose oneself within it, thus avoiding the two pitfalls of thinking all is "sour grapes" or thinking all is "super sweet grapes" then...", where no then, it was all just the trappings of dailylife each time, where each trap had to have some corresponding bait to go with it then

"...oh how I am feed well here..." mused the goblin, where somewhere within him was this urge to comment anew, or to advise, or least to correct now, but no, he knew too, that those type readers always ruined their writer that way leaving him trapped within their expectations upon him and themselves mostly disappointed by his actually meeting those expectations then, plus the other paradox was where if a writer kept his posts short he wouldn't bore the reader yet those posts wouldn't amount to much neither, saying “...so perhaps this writing upon forumland here becomes a compromise between us now, something trying to meet both our requirements by it, where neither of us can truly hold sway here lest it all becomes too fake to me to write on my part, or just too whatever for you to read on your part...”

"...well imagine, if you were to add a picture to each post you did, what type of eye for posts you would get after about a year of doing so..." ventured the goblin, adding "...three goals here, a writer's way with words, an illustrator's eye, and an internetself but, of those, where the internetself, a credible persona if you like, seems the most important one, I mean to actually create something that is beyond dailylife's grip, something both ageless, faceless, responsive, and mercurial then..." explained the goblin, who coincidentally lived next door to an old age home as if it were to underline the whole point to him once more, the point being that if one doesn't learn to fly like peter pan whilst online one will share wendy's fate of living ever grounded by those externals then

repost from elsewhere, another "last post" thread

"...capital, if I may use such a term here..." replied the goblin, continuing "...but do win this game in style then, and post against me if you like, ah but at some point evolve beyond that to post against yourself too, remember writers don't need a reason to write, they just do, whereas most people don't need a reason to write either yet they just don't, so where is your pen human while life's beauty surrounds you still, win with writing style is all I'm suggesting..."

repost from elsewhere, a writer's forum

"...ah so it's this question again..." started the goblin remembering being here before, often enough even, then continuing "...well, if you believe in the character yourself then that's most of the battle already won then, oh yes one could complicate all this with generalizations that don't really work when held up to the light that authors differ, or one could go into conjectures and calculations too, though more simply for me at least, if the author just becomes the part, then no matter how incredible that part might seem, it will be real to himself first hopefully creating a world that the reader will jump on board, for remember that the reader already knows that it's fiction and accepts the discrepancy when viewing the virtual reality as the cost of his escape...", at which point the goblin added an afterthought, continuing "...moreover, the depth of the character can be penciled in later I suppose, so first one feels for the plot and takes possession of each character in turn, and then one lets one's fingers tap across the keyboard very much as if reciting something to a blind man who happens to be sitting next to one..."

repost from elsewhere, having fun but going down in style

the goblin paused for a moment, sipped his coffee, eyed the clock for the time left before work against the mountain of notifications he still had to reply to, continuing "...no, actually if you want to attack me, attack me on the fact that I am selfish, that I am really not posting for your forum at all, no merely trying to create posts that I can be reposted elsewhere, or that I am using this facing the slot here as in a journey to self then, or trying to know who I am by what I post too, just borrowing a third person writing style to know first hand how writers tackle it...", but the goblin felt that xxxxx and the others here were trying to turn everyone into themselves to their own buy one, get one free benchmark now, "...listen, regardless of how you cut it, the hit count just becomes the way of knowing if a thread and its posts are working, moreover, if people don't like something as much as you claim, they won't keep coming back to look at the latest post posted upon it each time, I mean it's not my fault you don't take your posts seriously enough to revise them across forumland like us livewriters do..."

repost from elsewhere, talking to a livewriter about yet another ban then

"...already forgotten, promise..." replied the goblin truthfully enough, adding "...well, there's a watershed moment coming, where my biggest fear is that opposite fate where livewriting is actually accepted, and where the pioneers are then lost to the mainstream of livewriting once more and hence my own demise by it, yet why should I care for I was anonymous anyway...", simply the goblin was thinking of the scene in the film the tin drum where the austrian dwarf stubbornly beats his drum at a constant waltz pace against the military nazi party's music as slowly the austrian band stops towing the nazi theme and resorts to type playing its waltzes once more, "...just that this writing on forumland here is not that bookworld for all their dumb dictates to otherwise, no, one's reposts are livewritings pure and simple, just interactive content ready for replies back, and what's more, the more anyone posts upon forumland like this the more austrian band like they will become by it, so away with that bookworld now, for their place certainly is not here if none of them will write in their posts directly for a forum readership that surrounds them as we speak..." mused the stubborn goblin ever banging his own drum at this point

"...ah yes, but to post is to publish isn't it, though I agree though the whole world isn't going to see my posts anyway..." smiled the goblin, kind of adding "...yet the hitcount is one's readership for sure, where caring about who has or hasn't seen one's post merely clogs up one's progress here, for how can it matter where one is anonymous and where there is nothing new under the sun, yes nothing new under the sun perhaps but all the more reason for rewording everything one's own way, yes that spurs me on I guess...", whereupon the goblin remembered that old line that went something worth reading twice should be written twice, saying "...naah, I'll leave off posting when I'm actually empty inside, no time soon though, for the hitcount is encouraging me still, and where no doubt I'll rewrite this post again and again too, reposting it elsewhere in am endless process of air/edit/backup...", just that the forums felt like venues to the goblin, and he made no bones about it neither, but that was just the tradeoff of writing in posts he felt, the futile freedom of it

repost from elsewhere, the troll's forum again, chatting to a tin of spam persona

"...now that's more like it..." replied the goblin who simply accepted any persona he came across, as if knowing that anyone who wrote in third person had to have one, if only because it was either that or having to write said the one who is writing this each time, so the use of a persona was in effect a short-cut here, where the added advantage was the fact that writing in third person other characters could then be incorporated into the text too, "...ok goblin, do try and keep the post short, remember these trolls are not exactly known for their attention spans..." intervened the slot not a moment too soon and not sure if the tin of spam was still following, adding "...and besides goblin, you've never actually roleplayed in you life have you, where if you did, no doubt every scene would be something like and then, the mighty tin of spam hailed loudly across the planes of trollmoronland, where only the day's uncanny silence betrayed anything of those lurking creatures hidden deep beneath the bridges there, and where too, lone amongst them sat a goblin plotting the downfall of humanity over his laptop to a coffee...", indeed the goblin felt somewhat unmasked by the slot at this point, yet he and the slot remained friends and went back so many years now, from those BBS days even, "...ah yes, those BBS days slot, you remember them don't you, well I never thought that they'd become this forumland of today then, and besides too, I don't flatter myself over it, I mean I've never plotted humanity's downfall at all as it seems they're quite capable of doing all that by themselves then, instead I'm merely recorded the path of their downfall here as I thought it might be a good idea just in case other creatures came along afterwards..."

repost from elsewhere, (Jats's line again)

"...beautifully put, thus the humble post too can become writing if turned into it then..." ventured the goblin, adding "...wow yes, and what's more, we've going to prove it, and prove it the hard way too, amazing to think that all I was doing was just trying to create a persona against my old age here, but this is turning into something more wondrous still...", yet the goblin felt it best not to argue with anyone as to whether writing in posts was actually writing then, no instead he would only prove it to himself by doing so, well, if that were at all possible now

repost from elsewhere, same old stuff a writer's forum, where egos abound and infighting results, king of the molehill too

the goblin became curious now, asking "...since this is a writer's forum here, what type of writing do you intend to do in your posts here, where I'll help you where I can, for example, I can introduce you other livewriters who illustrate and narrate their posts, I can offer you other forum/venues where you can air/edit/backup your posts a largist readership, yet you for your part will only get out of this venture that which you put into it, moreover there's no fame nor fortune to livewriting neither...", just the goblin felt that much was being sidetracked by this infighting here, where wouldn't it be better to focus upon three goals now, their being a writer's way with words, an illustrator's eye and a credible persona, to which the goblin just smiled to the words "...so now if any of those goals doesn't make sense, ask before you dismiss them out of hand, or what we do for that matter, oh, so good luck with your posts then humans, for they're why you're here I imagine, where even if they're not the reason why you're here, the readers will still judge you by your posts mostly, so just leave that infighting for those published writers, we're got readers to feed..."

    repost from elsewhere, just sharing

the witchdoctor smiled “...goblin, you think it's a recession because they have told you that it is one, but look at it more closely, every recession to date has been investors withdrawing their investment in late autumn, causing the market to slump, whereupon an injection of capital from either banks or governments props things up until, that too, proves futile and one has the recession for sure, but a recession, like its namesake, is supposed to eventually return things to what they once were with a recovery...”, to which the witchdoctor leaned closer to the goblin, continuing “...so now, with a trillion dollar debt and one dollar in ten going to service that debt too, and with far too much money in circulation anyway, and that ever unchanged "upside down demographic pyramid" too, still think it's actually a recession goblin..." at which the witchdoctor took a deep breath and just continued "...it's a “default” goblin, financial musical chairs if you like where the music has stopped, america will survive goblin, but it has filed for chapter 13 in all but name now...”

"...you already write more beautifully than I do..." replied the goblin, adding "...and agreed, there's a great freedom in this writing for oneself now, though it's also amusing to know too, that amazon sold more kendell ebook readers last year than they did physical books, so I suspect that gearing one's writing to tablets rather than pages is not such an odd idea after all..." replied the anonymous goblin, ever intent to remain anonymous too, and yet still wishing to cut a name for himself here

repost from elsewhere, someone who wanted to give up writing her book

"...perhaps you should pass up on that which you feel not to be you at this point, for what remains, where you find that you can't give it up now will be you for sure, but either way this writing is simply a journey to self here, nothing more than that then, so don't ever feel guilty about not writing as you've nothing to prove nor defend here, for a fake book is a prison..." mentioned the goblin, adding "...instead, write from time to time then just to keep us company if you like, yes that would make us happy indeed, so relax about it, writing is here for you not you here for the writing...", and then the goblin smiled "...anyway, even with or without one the show just goes on where this posting isn't about trying to write, nor trying to meet some deadline neither, no it's more like talking then, it comes with the practice of it, so talk when the mood takes and listen in when it doesn't, your book will write itself out of you in its good time, don't force it..."

the goblin was simple, smiling "...if you post here on this edit thread I'll keep you company for sure and I'll never let you be alone for long, so why tuck yourselves away on some over specialized thread in some subsection somewhere else, for aren't those blogs kind of egocentric anyway, where instead we could pool our efforts here together and all have fun like this, so no more of this feeling ignored business on that tucked away blog there, for I'm not ignoring you as you claim, look, the exact opposite is true, I'm actually asking you straight out to bring your poems, prose, roleplaying, or whatever then, here to share between our readers now, together in this then..." in fact, the goblin somehow guessed that one only felt ignored by readers when one was ignoring those readers for one's assumptions one had about what they would read
