If you love somebody, what can you do? It's got nothing to do with a complex. Idle threats won't work. Maybe try forcing him to get out of the house? Go for a walk in the sunshine or something?? I don't know -- I have never known anyone addicted to heroin. I recommend giving him lots of kisses.

 

Have you looked in to taking him to a recovery/treatment center or something?

A clinic will just give him methadone which is basically just legal heroin.

Don't some clinics have holding cells where people can stay so they can't get their fix for however long it takes until the withdrawals curb and the addiction starts to break?

 

detox isn't going to help mental addiction, neither does methadone. find the roots of the cause of a addicts use, and slowly work forward step by step. its easier to run away and hide in your comfortable bubble then to take on a long challenge that often has no end in sight and often feels futile.
