having said that.....universe drops stuff in my lap on a regular basis

 

today was osap and gst refund day. my bank account looks somewhat healthier now.

 

Found a little half gram bag that I had stashed away for a rainy day with the hopes of forgetting about it... I do that some times when I'm really baked haha. It worked... I completely forgot and now have a bit of weed for tonight

mine was $93 and change, right onto student loans, lol.

 

The plan was... Get up around 2:00 in the morning, add wood to fire. What actually happened, woke around 2:00 fell back asleep... Got up at 4:30 and there were no coals left in the furnace, went back to sleep.

my good snow shovel is mia in a drift somewhere........2 fingers froze up in about 12 minutes outside so I will be in and out all fucking day for a few minutes at a time

and the snow......its packed down so hard I can walk on top of the drifts

I haven't posted much in this thread because I have had mega family staying at my house...some flew out yesterday and some more are leaving Sunday

 

Just got off the phone with my grandmother, I called to ask about that place she was adopted from that I mentioned earlier. It went well, I got a lot of really good information for my presentation. I was worried about it because I didn't want to ask questions that would dredge up things she might not have wanted to think about, but it was good. I just asked general questions and let her tell me what she wanted to. Pretty crazy story. Once I've written up the presentation I'll post it here for you guys. Such an interesting story.

Geezus, I don't know how you guys live in all that snow and cold... if it gets anything below 0 here everyones talking about it lol saying "watch out the roads are probably icy" "drive safe" "i wonder if it'll snow" its snowed once here so far this year

I think the coldest i've ever been in was probably -11 maaybe.. just a guess... i did some research and apparently the coldest its ever been here was -18.. not sure if thats true.. only looked at 2 sites for a couple of seconds lol

 

The difference is that we are prepared for it because it happens every year, lol. We all have snow tires and a lot of experience driving on snowy and icy roads. We also have sufficient plows, salt trucks, etc. When you guys get hit you're fucked because it happens so seldom that it isn't worth spending the money to prepare for it.
