going to start this year off right, i gots my black eyed peas a-soaking. nom nom. ill cook them tonight and have them for breakfast in the morning.

im setting goals, not making resolutions. when i resolve, it dissolves. goals are better.

just relaxing until my fiance gets home, and then we're going out with a couple friends to party for new years.

I think my boyfriend and I are going to our friend's house. they just moved into an adorably tiny apartment in the basement of a house. really cute.

it'll be strange not partying with all our usual friends, but they're so flaky any more, it's too hard to get them together. and everyone lives at home so while their parents are very nice- they don't want a bunch of drunk twenty-somethings all night long.

and one of our heavy drinker friends broke his arm, and busted his face plus a car window while drunk bike riding, so I really don't think it'd be good for him to be drinking, even just a little.

 

haha well have fun!

 

still no power back.....generator is running....thinking about what to eat and how to cook....woodstove.........microwave?

not long...this aft about noon....I been lucky...some on the island went 5 days with no power

i like my PB&Js toasted. delicious.

i never do anything for new years. im not a big drinker. buddy of ours saved us $40 at the liquor store, so i got a new rum to try.

kid is running around out back, so im going to listen to some songs with lyrics i dont want to explain to him, and get some cleaning done.

 

My friend in Toronto has had no power since that storm. 10 days now... she said the water pipes and the radiator pipes have burst in her apartment building. She's had to crash with family and friends.
