I'm not a Christian. And if I were to consider myself one, it seems I wouldn't be accepted

 

Of course you wouldn't. You have to accept them for they know not what they do.

 

I don't believe people in a "healthy" state of mind know not what they do. I think most people know exactly what they do.

It would seem that anything, no matter how logical, is deemed unacceptable if it won't fit into the canon.

And yet many seem eager to hammer away at almost anything, regardless of how good their hand-eye coordination is.

Canon are the precepts of men taught as doctrine. God did not canonize anything. God created the world and saw that is was good.

 

I know. Deja was theorizing about whether christians would accept him or not. I was using the canon to refer to christians. God is god. It doesn't need a canon to create or express.

You mean that He dictated what was to be written dowm to many different people over the course of centuries in dribs and drabs rather than as one cohesive narrative?

 

Why would not a Christian be hanging out in a Christian sanctuary arguing with Christians? Did you not read the sign?

 

Because I believe in god (in some form). And unfortunatly the christian book of god is one of the best resources for trying to discover the nature of god (to a limited extent). Wanting to know the nature of god is something all faiths share.

 

I was putting that out there as general information, I'm not here to point fingers. The disciples of Jesus misunderstood what Jesus was talking about on many occasions.

 

God's temple is meant to be a house of prayer for all nations, natures.

 

Would we then become a den of robbers and thieves, saying that some are not worthy as they are to come to a discussion about God. That they must pay the exchange rate, declare themselves to be a christian, before they can enter the temple?

 

I have misunderstood on many occasions, I still have questions.

I was just curious as to why, upon seeing a 'For Christians ONLY!' invitation, one would enter and announce that he's not a Christian. It just threw me a little because all this time I'd assumed he was, with the 'understanfing' that commonly accompanies.

I do hope that lunaverse will at least read the gospels so as to inform his points.

But, by all means, you're welcome. And hey, maybe you're on your way to becoming, ay?

I've done plenty of scripture quoting. However it is quite irritating being told my points are only valid if they come from the right books. I assumed this was a judgment free zone.

 

I'm just stating the principle in real time with a concrete example to illuminate the meaning of the passage in practical terms. Again, all of you within ear shot, don't take it personally, I'm not here to point fingers but I will encourage honesty.
