A Christian is one who claims to be a follower of the teachings of the Christ. In the end it is Jesus that will say who are Christians or not, till then for the purposes of being in this forum, I pretty much just take their word for it.

 

Personally I'm not a moderator and could care less who participates in the discussion, as long they're not here just to curse, be abusive and berate Christians just for being Christians. Not that that is a big deal, it's just that it's just a big waste of time.

Me, I like Sanctuary because you can quote as much of the Bible as you please to support what you are saying. Something that you can't do in the other forums here.

 

I don't believe that the Bible ever says anything about Jesus being weary with life. And personally I know many Christians who are full of devotion to God and have grown old and have never grown weary of life and yet would be willing to lay down their life for others if need be.

 

It is not my inclination.

Please show me where I have taught the the precepts of men as though they were doctrine.

Jesus was murdered. That's the sad truth. He's not going to be around in person to fulfill christian fantasies. The christians will have to sort themselves out just like everybody else. He survives in spirit though, and everyone else will help you get over yourselves too!

You don't say much about your personal life beyond your beliefs but it seems I detected that you underwent a conversion in coming to God, or did you grow up strong in the ways of the lord?

I brought up the comment that Jesus said "how long am I to bear with you".
It wasn't that he was personally weary with life but he longed to see the successful transmission of principle.

I use the term Christ as true teaching, and in relation to the personality, Jesus, the same, "He who believes in me believes not in me but the one who sent me."

The Christian cult of human sacrifice and the veneration of a "special" human being are perversions of Christ. Well, they are at least one version.

 

I think these lines best describe the way I feel about my own ideas of the whole matter.

 

Yes, I call myself a Christian.

Yes, Jesus was murdered but he is around and will be for eternity.

Yes the prince of peace is coming.

He is the Christ, that has not changed.

 

You'll find that 'He' doesn't go by the name 'Jesus', let alone 'Christ'
