hey everybody, i havent been around much the past month. damn real world getting in the way of everything i enjoy. LOL

but anyway, the off topic post i am here for:

have any of you seen the commercials for that new show on mtv called "jersey shore"?
heres a link for the commercial
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ru7FLCwlStE
ugh, i live in new jersey and this is SOOOO embarrassing!!!!

its real world but instead of the normal cast its all guidos and of course, you cant have guidos without the new jersey shore, so they all live in a house on the beach of new jersey.

anyway, i was just wondering if this looks appealing to anybody, and if any of you people that arent from around this area actually think this is what people in new jersey are like.

also do you like, hang out with, or find attractive people like this or do you see them as a joke?

and like seriously, if you DO like people like this, honestly, what redeaming qualities do they have as part of the human race. (not being funny, for real, what do you think they bring to the table)

also does anybody think this show is for real, or is it just kind of a joke on the douchebags that think acting and looking like that is cool?

I held beavis and butthead to be the blazing glory in which MTV went down. I take it you weren't a fan

anybody see the naked guy at the phish show the other night?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyxdgyMBrZE

he jumped up on stage at the beginning of yamar gives trey a big ol' hug then eludes security for a good 10 or 15 seconds before getting tackled. best part was the high hat went on without missing a beat the whole time. they changed the words to a few of their songs that night too to reference the naked guy

phish's facebook has close ups of the guys, thats where i saw it first.

and currently i am reading GLUE by irvine welsh.

i L O V E irvine welsh! his stories are absolutely CRAZY (he wrote trainspotting for those who dont know him.

glue is good, i'm only about a hundred pages into it and its just starting to really pick up and get crazy like his stories tend to do. his book of short stories called ACID HOUSE is one of my favorite books EVER if anybody doesnt have a book they are on right now i can not reccomend it enough, some of the stories are so fucked you cant even imagine. the titled story acid house is about a teen who eats a bunch of acid and gets stuck in a storm and struck by lightning at the same time a baby is born, their beings are switched, the baby becomes the teen, the teen becomes the baby. all the teens friends think he is retarted because he acts like a baby, and the baby's parents get all freaked out. his father gets jealous of the way he sucks his wife's tits, and eventually the baby starts talking to the mother and has her bring her to football (soccer) games. very awesome read

    edit:

he can be a bit hard to read, as he generally writes completely phoenetically in a mixture of slang and whatever dialect of english is spoken in the region of europe that his story is taking place in
