I've tried guitar before and I just do not have enough rhythm to strum. I've taken piano lessons when I was younger and I can read sheet music so I think I'll stick with something that doesn't have tabs... Plus, I think the kiddos will enjoy playing the keyboard too. Thanks for the suggestion though. =)
Kind of, at first it is always very white then I can scrape it off with an electric tooth brush but under that one one tooth it is a yellowish color on top. I am hoping I get a good response from the dentist but I am really having some anxiety about taking my 22 month old to the dentist without him freaking out.
The dentist will likely just look at it and not do anything about it. From my experiences the dentists typcially do as little as possible on the youngters teeth. My youngest chipped the bottom off of his big top front tooth and the dentist didn't even want to see him. only if he was in pain. He wasn't so we never went in for it.
If your little one is scared, I'd say let the dentist look at your teeth in front of the kid. My little brother used to scream and cry when anyone would cut his hair until he saw my dad have it done to him. The process is muchhhh smoother now.
That is a good idea. I never been to this dentist before, he specializes in children so I am hoping they know what to do.
daisy- fair enough I totally suck at it but it is really fun. I can rarely keep time strumming, but when I do it's totally magical and awesome.
this convo has gona down hill, and has only served to prove to me once again that i am never having children. fucking scraping the plaque of those fuckers teeth!???
If you thinking scraping plaque off teeth is the hardest/worst/grossest part of being a parent, you are mistaken. lol That is one of my easier challenges. You know, someone did that for you likely when you were little too.
Pandy, yup, I bet it is magical. lol Cuz I certainly can't do it. I feel like I have two left hands when I play the guitar. Also, I remember you asking about aloe somewhere. It does have an odour and I don't like it that much. Very pungent earthy smell.
daisy- i think i'll just do that palm-rolley-wrap-hair-around-dread instead of aloe.. I don't wanna be stinking the place up lol Then just put it in a bun type thing so it's not sticking out ridiculously far like it does. The nice thing about ukulele's is that they have nylon strings and there's only 4 to deal with I love the sound of the banjo and that will be next on my list after I get good at the uke.
if someone gets me the link to that dreadhead award thread... I'll tally it all up sometime in the next few days
So, hubby is growing out his hair cuz he wants some dreads. !!!! Never knew that he woudl want them. His hair is only a few inches long so it's gonna be months before anything starts to happen (and that is IF he does let it grow). Nothing guaranteed, but I think it would be so fun to have a dreadie partner. =)
