Also, I asked Braying donkey was he that keavy guy and he said that although he DID create a trolling account on a dreadlock forum it wasn't this one because guidelines state you cannot post in the same thread using two different user names amd I don't think Braying Donkey would jeopardise his account just to troll here.

I don't think Brew is a troller or another member. I have a hunch that he lurked here for a while and that's why he seems to know a bit. That right Brew? Or are you Really Soaring Eagle with a new keyboard?

Conspiracists will now think you are Glen as he ends most posts with

    Cheers,
    Glen.

Whatever, it's nice to have some non bellend new people round here.

We had some family over from Aus and New Zealand a few weeks ago for a family holiday to Haven, we had to pull out as a week at a holiday camp would have cost us £700 plus spends. So we had a mini party instead so I could meet them. It was really nice. They all sounded American though it was tres funny.

Yes he is *wink*. We could have gone abroad for that price. So we pulled out and put the money into our "move across the country" fund.

Ya, I miss Pat__ too. Even though he'd try light fires under my bum... I didn't mind.

We cannot rent our place for what we pay in mortgage... Crazy eh? But at least this way we are only covering $200 a month and we keep our investment (house) without paying the $5000 bank penalty if we sell right now.

Today so far I have taken our van in to get a tow hitch put on.

AND AND AND AND.... I got a call from my Dad last night saying that him and my mother are flying out for my 30th Bday!!! I am floored. My dad has not been out here since I had my youngest son almost three years ago. So... I'm very excited. And they said they would house me and the boys for a bit... So they are likly flying my kids home while I drive across country with my dog in Sept.

I know Cha0s was talking about going West, but if anyone is thinking of heading east in the middle of Sept... message me! I'll likely be posting on some ride share sites so that I don't have to do it alone... SOOOOO Boring!

Is this true for all places? How do people make any money from renting their house? Sorry so many questions I am just really curious about this stuff. It is pretty crazy, too bad you can't charge more and break even. Hopefully though, maybe after the people rent for awhile they may be interested in purchasing.

I want to buy a house in a couple years but my husband says it isn't important to live in a house?! How crazy is that :toetap05:

I doubt it is true for all places. We bought high and now the market is low... so there are more places being rented which brings the price down. I'm sure a lot of ppl do it though... because that $200 is going on to your mortgage, which you are essentially paying to yourself in a round about way... cuz you keep the house. The $200 also includes extra insurance and the $110 fees for the property managers who do everything for you (find tennant, advertise, take the money, etc.). That way we can be hands off and not stress about the place.

The $5000 penalty is because we signed a 5 year mortgage and we are only three years into it. IT was only $1800 last summer, but because interest rates have bottomed out, they use a different formula to calculate the penalty and that is why it's $5000. If we wait two years, it will be zero. It all depends on the terms of your mortgage when you sign it. We were naive and took teh word of our mortgage broker and did not read all the details.... shame on us.

As for owning a house... I won't do it again until we find property... We want at least two acres (if not more) back in New Brunswcik (province where hubby grew up and where we met). We will be moving there in three or four years and will buy again to settle... but home ownership is awful. You owe tons of money... and it's all reliant on a currently fragile market. If we were to live here forever, then it would be a different story, but since we are a bit nomadic, this was a terrible choice for us. So your hubby may not be all that crazy. Just make sure you are in teh spot you want to be in at least 7 years and you should be fine.

Um... yes, I like to answer questions with very lengthy replies. lol

Heheh, if only you knew my husband. He has other weird "beliefs" or "ideas" that I wasn't aware of the three years I lived and dated him before we got married.

The way I figure is buying a house is better since you are paying into something that is yours, plus I hate renting apartments because then you have to worry about staining the carpet, you can't paint, and so on. I will probably be living with my mom at the end of next year anyway.

You buying a place with land is great, I'd love to have a lot of land to plant things on, and adopt horses and chickens from the humane society. But it is hard to find a place with a lot of land for a good price? I bet it is really hard right now for anyone to purchase or sell a home.

Why are you moving in with your mom? I haven't lived at home in ten years. It's gonna be weird when I get there. So Weird!

This is the current piece of land I have my eye on... I love looking at real estate. 45 acres for $110,000. http://www.realtor.ca/propertyDetails.aspx?propertyId=8626707 But that will be long gone before we're ready to buy.

But we also have friends in the area with large pieces of land that could hopefully divide some off for us.

    Never mind.

Daisy- my husband is going to be getting a different job hopefully next year but seeing as I am unsure what job he is going to get, I think it be best we move in with my mom until we know his job is secure. Plus I miss my mom, I live so far from her that I never get to see her anymore. She is in Chicago, I am in Washington.

I don't like how sweet wheat thins are.
I like the hint of salt or low sodium triscuits.

anyway.. 1 week (and a day) without cigs, even went to a big party and a downtown hotel on Sat night and managed to dance instead of smoke
I've had 2 dreams where I smoked and woke up relieved I hadn't. My lungs feel good.
Also have had these crazy dreams where I had bright red hair so I dyed it.
